You

They says things so you say them too,

They wear things so you wear them too,

They do things so you follow suit.

They dictate your every move just based on what they do, wear, say.

You laugh at jokes you don't find funny,

You watch movies that you hate.

Just so they'll accept you.

Every day you go home and wonder why you try so hard to be their friend,

Then you look in the mirror and see some one you do not know.

You tell yourself you have to do these things so that you'll fit in.

You tell yourself that's just how life works.

I don't know who told you not to be yourself but they were wrong.

Your true friends love YOU for who YOU are.

When you are YOU people listen to what you say,

When you are YOU people don't mind the way you dress,

When you are YOU people want to do things with you, things that you like to do.

True friends will laugh at your jokes,

and watch movies you all love.

The day you look in the mirror and see yourself you know your friends will stick by your side because they  want to be friends with YOU.

Not the other way around.

To everyone whose struggled with toxic relationships, if you embrace who you are you'll find friends who truly care about you.

To everyone who thinks you are ugly and that you need to change yourself for other people, you are all more beautiful than I know you believe. People who see your beauty are the people who you don't have to change anything for because they love you as you are.

I hope this message will remind all of you that despite your doubt in yourself, you are loved so so much
