Now's the third day of being a prisoner.
Prisoner na ba ako, though? I'm not even guilty.
Anyway, kalabas ko lang ng courtroom kanina. Our second trial just got finished. May third pa, of course.
Napailing na lang ako. Nakakapanghina ng loob. Malakas ang kutob ko na makukulong ako. Pero siyempre, ayaw ko namang manalig doon, 'no. I just... can't help it. I can't cheer myself up dahil ubos na ang motivational quotes ko for today's video.
Napabuntonghininga na lang ako. Isa sa mga signs kapag problematic ka, puro iyan na lang ang gagawin mo minu-minuto. Well... ang hirap na rin kasing pigilan.
Pumikit na lang ako at inalala ang mga nangyari kanina.
We're already on the witnesses' statements part. Hindi ko sure kung sino ang haharap na testigo sa side ko at side ni Ryker pero... ewan, basta. Kaya na ni batman 'to.
"May I call on the first witness?"
Umikot ang paningin ko sa mga nakaupo sa public gallery. Ilang segundo pa ang lumipas, a boy stood up.
Kumunot ang noo ko habang sinusundan siya ng tingin. He's now heading to the witness stand.
Huh? I don't even know him. I'm pretty sure he's my age but I don't exactly find him familiar.
"May I ask your name and your relationship with the victim and the defendant?"
He licked his lips. "I'm Ash Serano. The victim and defendant's former schoolmate..."
Ash?
I tried to channel my rotten memory. Wait... I think I remember him!
Napadilat ako nang matindi.
Siya nga. Siya nga iyon! Hindi ako pwedeng magkamali kasi babae ako!

Napatingin ang Ash na iyon sa akin. He's pretty serious. Inis naman akong napairap sa kaniya.
He'll stand against me, for sure. Ipupusta ko pa ang matres ko.
Tumikhim ang judge. "Begin the questioning now..."
The prosecutor went on Ash's front. Sa madaling salita, tumapat siya sa witness stand. Tang ina. Ang dami pa kasing sinasabi, eh.
"I solemnly declare and affirm that the evidence I shall give will be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth..." Ash is now swearing the oath of witness in court. Sana lang talaga ay totoo ang mga sasabihin niya.
Kinabahan naman tuloy ako.
Tumikhim ang prosecutor. "How long have you been with the victim and defendant?"
"I knew them since I was on first grade..."
"Has the defendant showed a weird behavior back then?"
Ash looked at me first before answering.
Ang sarap sikmuraan.
"Yes..."
