The next morning, I woke up to an empty and cold space beside me. The sun poured through my balcony's door and I placed a hand on my eyes to get used to the crisp light. Slowly last night's events rushed back in my mind and how I asked Julian to stay the night.

"God, Lilly! Are you stupid?" I raised my hands as though I was talking to another person.

"Here you're trying to not fall for him but on the other hand you asked him to stayover at yours. I think I finally know what's the height of stupidity, 5'7. Well done, Lilly well done."

A dark chuckle startled me and I looked alarmed at the intruder.

"You're seriously talking to yourself?" Julian came near me and I gladly accepted the medicines he offered.

"Everyone does that." I muttered before swallowing those pills.

"Anyway, what were you talking about to yourself?"

I stood up and an idea popped up in my mind. I slowly, seductively walked towards Julian and stopped close enough to kiss. I whispered my next words in his ear which made him gulp down and his eyes bulged out of its sockets.

"Oh, wouldn't you like to know?" I huskily said and to my surprise a blush rose on his cheeks.

"I- Lilly-", he stammered and I couldn't help but laugh out on his reaction.

I heard his growl of annoyance but it just made me laugh harder.

"A magician never tells her secrets, Noodle." I winked at him and sauntered over to my washroom to freshen up when I heard him stomping like a three-year old.

I chuckled under my breath.

I froze as soon as I returned in my bedroom.

There on my bed stood a mini wooden table with a tray containing a plate of large waffle enough for two people, maple syrup, a bowl of strawberries dipped in Nutella and two cups of coffee: Latte and Frappuccino.

Julian raised his head once he heard my footsteps and switched off his phone where he was focused previously.

"I made breakfast while you were freshening up."

"Seriously, who are you? And what did you do with Julian that I know?" I skeptically looked at him.

He gave me an incredulous look, "What do you mean?"

"Tell me one time when you've been nice to me except yesterday and today."

I made my way towards the other side of bed and fixed the pillow before I sat cross legged on it.

"I've been nice to you, Lilly." Julian looked at me as though I was speaking gibberish.

"Oh yeah? When?' I picked up a strawberry from the bowl and took a bite of it, relishing the chocolaty taste of Nutella mixed with the tangy flavor of the fruit while I waited for Julian's answer.

"Uh..." He came at a loss of words.

I snorted.

"You've never been nice to me as well." He narrowed his eyes at me and poured the syrup on one piece of waffle.

"Only because you were not nice to me in the first place." I glared at him but he kept on eating the waffle.

"Bhotever," his reply came and I gave him a disgusting look.

We ate in silence for the next few minutes before he asked me a question.

"How're you feeling now?"

I shrugged and smiled softly at him, "Fine mostly. Thanks for all this though, Julian. I'm grateful for it."

He returned my smile, "Anytime, Lilly. Anytime."

Question time for all the guys out there; boys do all these things for girls and then expects them to not fall for them? It's like asking a dancer to not dance, a shoe to not be wore and an onion to not bring tears in people's eyes.

In simpler words, bullshit.

"Where did you sleep last night?" I asked him before taking a sip of my Frappuccino.

"On the couch in the living room. I also went home last night once you fell asleep to get a fresh pair of clothes and feed Taco his food."

I nodded, "That makes sense why my bed was cold this morning."

"Aww you could've just asked me to sleep with you Lilly."

I chortled at the double meaning behind his words, "In your dreams, Warner."

"Definitely in my dreams, West." he winked at me and I chuckled again.

And just like that, we fell in our normal routine just like how we used to be; Lilly & Julian.

Although something had changed between us which we both weren't ready to acknowledge, yet.
