I gently opened the glass door of Le Château Crème and the bells above it rang to indicate somebody had entered.

Only two lights were switched on at the right most corner and voices of laughing echoed. The rest of the bakery was in eerie calm and no desserts were present in the glass display counters.

I momentarily realized that Hannah closed the bakery early that day and swiftly made my way from where chatting voices were now coming.

"Seriously, how did you make here before me? There was so much traffic."

I hugged Hannah and Blake before sitting beside Julian on the couch opposite to them.

"A magician never tells his secrets, Noodle."

I let out a groan and rest of them chuckled.

"You're still hellbent on calling her 'Noodle' Julian?" It was Blake who asked the question to his best friend.

"Duh! Do you not remember what Lilly did to her hair in college?" Julian asked with an incredulous expression.

I sighed, "Bully me all you want. And you Han, I expected you to at least defend me given that I'm your best friend."

Hannah gave me a fake smile, "C'mon Lil, you know how much you love that nickname."

That made everyone laugh again, except me.

"I hate you all. I need to make new friends," I muttered under my breath.

"Aww now don't be like that. You know how much we love you, Noodle." Julian kissed my cheek and I pushed him away, annoyed.

After another ten minutes of bickering we finally asked, "So what do you have to tell us?"

Hannah and Blake looked at each other and exclaimed, "We are getting married!"

Julian paled beside me and I on the other hand smirked.

"No!" Julian dragged out the word while I whooped in congratulations.

I scrambled out of my seat and gave them a big bear hug.

"Why are you not happy for us man?" Blake asked Julian at the same time I said to him, "Pay up bitch!"

Julian grunted and took out twenty euros from his pocket dis-heartedly.

Hannah's eyes widened, "I can't with you two! Oh my God, you even bet on our wedding?"

"Oops." We both looked at them sheepishly.

"But technically we betted on what you two will tell us tonight at this dinner and Lilly said it will be about a wedding while I thought it will be about Han being pregnant."

I did a little victory dance and pocketed the 20 euros while Han and Blake narrowed their eyes at Julian.

"Babe, I think we should not do what we planned next."

Blake kissed Hannah's cheek and cocooned her in his side, "I agree, Babe."

"Wait- which plans? Don't tell me you are pregnant too! Oh my God, I will have to pay 20 euros back to him. No! Why Han? Why?!" This time it was me whining and Julian looking at them with hopeful eyes.

Blake bellowed, "What no! We're not pregnant. . .yet."

At the end of his sentence, he smirked at Han who playfully hit him.

"Oh, thank God! Then what other plans were you two talking about?"

Julian went back at sulking while I practically bounced in my seat in anticipation.

"You're insufferable," Han muttered and went to the kitchen at the end of the bakery.

I questioned Blake, "Where's she going?"

"Patience, Noodle."

After two minutes, Hannah returned with two cake boxes. Even Julian sat straighter with piqued interest, his gaze full with curiosity.

Once she settled, she gave the other box to Blake and had mind to mind conversation with him about something. They both then gave Julian and me each of the boxes, "Open them at the same time."

Julian and I held eye contact for a minute then shrugged and opened it.

In my box was a mini cake with a girl figurine on the top and below that were the words written in write frosting:

Will you be my maid of Honor?

Julian's cake was similar with a boy figurine instead of girl and the words written were:

Will you be my Best Man?

For a moment, silence fell.

And no sooner, excited voices echoed in the whole bakery.

"YES! YES! YES!"

Another round of hugs was given, champagne bottle was opened and I nearly cried.

"I'm so happy for you guys!"

Julian's blue-green eyes looked at them with adoration and I smiled.

"Soo when's the wedding?!" I looked at Hannah with wide eyes but she froze.

"I... am . . . getting...married. God! I AM GETTING MARRIED!"

"Babe, babe- you already freaked out when I proposed it's okay. We're getting married, yay!"

While Blake tried to calm Han when she realized for the first time that they're actually taking a huge step in their relationship, I turned towards Julian.

"You don't remember one more thing we included in the bet besides twenty euros, do you?"

I bit my lip, trying not to smile so hard when Julian paled again.

"Oh, fuck."

This time, however, I couldn't stop my evil smile.
