I had more than a little to drink tonight, and I was overwhelmed with my emotions. They were flooding in all at once, making me an emotional mess. I wasn't a crier, never really had been, but it felt like that was all I did lately. Before, my way of releasing my emotions was through my art or throwing knives. Now? I was simply an erratic girl wrapped in bitch paper.

I wanted to go back downstairs and make sure he was okay, but I had a feeling deep down inside that he was fine. I was still pissed off, but I managed to calm myself down enough to steady the pounding of my heart. I was going to give myself a heart attack one day.

There was a knock on the door that caused me to swing my head in that direction, confusion making my eyebrows furrow. Levi stepped through the door and shut it loudly behind him. I remained sitting on the bed, eyes slanted but trained on him carefully. "I come in peace, Sam." He held up his hands in mock surrender and then leaned his upper body against the door. He had on a dark blue jacket with the hood over his head, a pair of grey shorts and white sneakers that matched.

I glanced over at Dove, who was curled up on the bed beside me, eyes closed and lips parted. Her snores were barely audible, but loud enough to let me know that she was still breathing. If I had thought I was going to be able to lock myself in this room alone, I was wrong. Dove didn't take no for an answer, so she chose to be pissed off with me. Her 'anger' didn't last long, though. She fell before she could even get a full sentence out.

"Did you come to collect her?" I turned my attention back to Levi with a raised eyebrow.

He nodded. "I don't think Spade wants to sleep in the bed with his girl and her best friend."

I snorted. "Spade isn't sleeping in here." I waited a few seconds before I spoke up again. "How is he? Is she done?"

He laughed. "No, not yet. Trust me though, he's fine. This isn't his first rodeo. I doubt he even fucking feels it."

I nodded my head slowly. "If you say so."

"He's in one of his moods. Grumpy and shit."

I rolled my eyes and then sighed, sucking my teeth. "You understand me, right?"

"I get you." He said, nodding. "And if you're worried about Silver, don't be."

"I'm not worried about Silver." I said, picking at the lent on my sweats. "In order to be worried, I'd have to be insecure. Do I look insecure to you, Levi?" I tilted my head at him and raised my eyebrows playfully. He laughed, his Adams apple bobbing as he did so. "Seriously, though. I'm not worried. I don't think Spade wants to get shot again. And I'm sure your cousin doesn't want to either."

Levi pushed off of the door and slowly approached the bed on Dove's side. He shoved one of his hands into his pockets and tilted his head down at her, and I watched with ease as he moved her golden blonde hair out of her face and over her shoulder. It was then I noticed the tattoo on the back of his palm. It was a Dove, with long, beautiful wings.
