We were all in the pool house later that night, most of us drunk off our asses from top-shelf liquor and high off of marijuana.

Pax and Knight were stretched out on the sofa next to Wolfe, and Levi and Dove were in front of me on the other couch. I was settled in Spade's lap on the La-Z-Boy. My brothers and the rest of the boys were here as well, but they disappeared somewhere in the house a while ago. Jersey had to go home to her grandma, not wanting to leave her alone for too long with her brother. And I was almost 100% certain that Ronan left the house, too. He wasn't taking Amo's death well at all, and it was worrying me.

I knew that people mourn in different ways, but I just couldn't bare the thought of him grieving in the wrong way and me losing him, too.

Amo and Ronan were closer than I thought. I learned a while ago that the deeper a person digs a hole in your life, the deeper the mess when they leave you.

It hurts. Badly.

Levi had his arm around Dove, and she was snuggled deep into his side until "Kiss It Better" by Rihanna started to play from the stereo. A smile broke onto my face when she stood and started dancing, a bottle of champagne in her hands. It was almost as if the song possessed every limb in her body. I watched as Levi's low eyes roamed over the length of her, a tortured look washing over his face.

I didn't know what was going on between them, given that they were sort of siblings and all, with Levi's parents finding and adopting Dove when she was little, but I did know that they had history. How deep that ran? I wasn't sure.

I went to make a move to stand, but Spade's arms tightened around my waist. I turned to look at him, licking my lips. "What are you doing?"

"If you think you're going to go up there with your blonde friend and give these fuckers a show, you're wrong." He said low enough for just me to hear and he smirked, leaning in closer, his lips touching my earlobe.

I sent him a wicked grin. I smiled slowly and shifted on top of him, deliberately pressing my ass into his groin. His hot length expanded underneath me, and my smile widened, knowing just how much power I had right in this moment.

He leaned back and blew out a cloud of smoke from inhaling his blunt. The sweet scent hit my nostrils and I sucked on the cherry flavored lollipop that I'd stuck in my mouth to stop myself from drinking anymore, and my eyes suddenly dropped down to his lips. I shook my head and turned my attention back to Dove again, just as the song switched to "Die For You" from The Weeknd.

My friend sat down on the sofa and took a line with Wolfe before clearing her nostril and grinning at me. I smiled a little. "Where's Priest and Spyder?" She turned to look at Levi from over her shoulder, who's jaw tightened purposefully. Priest and Spyder were two out of the four unknown men who were here the night Amo got killed, and they'd came back with us from the funeral, but disappeared, too.
