"Link...Link!" I heard a man call, "Pull yourself together, Link! Wake up!"

It wasn't Tetra's voice like I wanted to hear, though.

I blinked myself awake to the bright light of day.

"Ah, you're awake! I hear a bit of panicking, though? Can you not see who's speaking?" The man asked.

I groaned, still laying on the hard planks of a boat.

I sat up to look around for the person who's talking.

There wasn't anyone there, though, and I started to panic more than before.

"Link, look over here, in front of you!" The man said, and I looked over, "It's me, your boat!"

The head of the boat turned to look at me. The boards of the boat screamed about as loud as I did as I fell onto them with terror.

"You're so scared of me—I guess such is expected, as among all the boats, I am the only one who can speak the words of men."

"Y-You c-c-can t-talk!" I screamed.

"Yes, Link."

"D-Don't hurt me! I'm a good boy! I swear!" I yelled as I scooted to the back of the boat

"I'm a boat, Link. I couldn't hurt you even if I wanted to. Plus, I'm sure you are a good boy." It said, "My title is The King of Red Lions. If you promise not to tell anybody that I speak, I'll help you recover your sister."

"I promise! I'd do anything for Aryll back! I love her with everything I have!" I yelled the truth with triumph, puffing out my chest as I stood.

"Yes, but before we set sail... ...This is a bit embarrassing to say, but... ...Though I can speak, I don't have a sail. You'll have to get me one from this island. This is Windfall Island."

"Yes, sir!" I hopped into the water that my boots blocked out, and ran around until I found a man who seemed to be a merchant.

I pushed up on the counter so I could see him.

...I'm really short...

"Well excuse you, young man! Get off my counter, this is your first and last warning!" He yelled at me, "Also, care to buy anything?"

"Do you have a sail, sir?" I asked, trying to be as polite as I could.

"I don't have any sales, no." He said back.

"No, sir, not sales, do you have a sail? As in a boat sail?"

"Ah, Ah! Yes, yes! I do, young man! But I will not give it to you until you free my friend. He's locked up—I think—in the red brick building." He pointed to the tall building.

With no hesitation, I sprinted to to the building and threw the door open with speed such as when I threw Orca's door open.

"Over there, behind those barrels, there's a switch! Press it and I'll tell you more!" A small man, shorter than me, coated in green said.

I picked up and threw the barrels, one by one, until the switch was revealed.

I jumped onto the switch, and the door opened as soon as I did.

"Thank you for freeing me, Mr. Fairy! Here's a symbol of my appreciation!" He said, handing me an oddly-shaped bottle, "It a Tingle Bottle! Made by only Tingle—me!"

"Thank...you?" I asked, not enjoying the token very much. I didn't understand it. Well, whatever. "Nice meeting you, Tingle! But I've gotta run! We'll meet again, I'm sure!"

I bolted out the door and to the shop thing again.

I slammed my fists on the counter as I panted, "I- I did it! I got your little friend, now let me buy that sail!"

"80 rupees."

"80?!" I yelled, that was all my rupees. "Fine! Here, take it!"

"Here you go, your sail." He handed me the sail. I took it carefully from his hands as he counted the rupees.

"Sir, you gave me ten extra-"

"Keep the change! Thank you, sir!" I ran off with a wave.

I dashed over to the boat again and showed him the sail as I panted.

"You seem to be a bit out of breath," It said, "Run far, hm?"

"Y-Yeah..." I tried to slow my breathing as I spoke, but failed.

"That's okay. You better get in shape, though, Link. You'll be running about a thousand times as far in your adventure than you did here." The boat said.

What was he trying to say?!

I don't eat that much, boat!

"You look flustered. Hurry, won't you? Set up the sail so we can get a move on!"

"Yes sir!"

—————————————————————————

It took over an hour to set up that stupid sail.

Ugh.

I can already tell this is going to be bad.

"Well, set sail! Let's go! Head east, to the island to the east—To Dragon Roost Island!"

I pulled up the sail and there we have it. Set off. To places I didn't even know existed. Nice.

(Authors note: Sorry I'm cutting this chapter a bit short, but I though I should save Dragon Roost for its own chapter. Thanks for reading!)
