So you know that question you guys asked when we first met? The question of why I would never talk?
And I said I wouldn't tell you until I became more comfortable? Do you remember, any of you? No?
Whatever.
So... The reason I don't speak is not because my voice is embarrassing. That's not it, and not even a part of it.
It's about my fourth birthday. The day both my parents died. Troi was nice enough to save me, and ever since then and up to my last birthday, I hadn't been much of a talker.
Troi—Who my parents always called 'Warrior Troi' around me—was Aryll and I's caretaker until grandma came from Windfall Island.
"You killed Links' father?!" Red yelled at Tetra.
"I-I didn't mean to! It wasn't aimed! I was just ordered to cut the rope!" Tetra cried, "I didn't want to!"
"Liar! You probably followed along so you could murder Link, too!" Red screamed.
"N-No-" Tetra started.
"I don't believe you, whatever you say! Whatever you will say! I don't believe you, I never will!"
"King of Red Lions!" I screamed at my boat, "What in the name of the gods do you think you're doing?! What's wrong with you?!"
"I'm just trying to protect you, Link!" Red yelled.
"No! You are not! You're doing this crap for no reason! None at all! Look at her! Look what you did! Take a good freakin' look at what you've done, because we won't be back for a while!"
"Sorry, Tetra..." Red mumbled.
"Doesn't cut it! Come on, Tetra! Let's get away from this jerk off!"
I grabbed Tetra's hand and pulled her away from Red.
"What a jerk! I mean, who does this crap! It's stupid, just like him!" I muttered with a huff.
"Link, it's fine." Tetra said with a sniff, "I'm allowed to get yelled at."
"Not while you're with me you're not! I don't allow it!"

In grief of my parents, I took down all the pictures off the walls, or at least the ones I could reach.
Okay, I think that's all of them.
"Link..." Warrior Troi entered the house with his hat at his waist and his head down, "...I'm so sorry..."
I didn't respond. There wasn't really a point in talking after that.
"Link? Feeling okay, buddy? I feel like this is how you act when you're upset, and I can understand why, just-"
"Leave." I said, holding a picture tight in my hand, almost smashing the glass of the frame.
"Wh-What...? But, Link... You need someone to take care of you!"
"No, I'll be fine. Just go away. I'm fine with Aryll and I will be fine by myself."
"Hey, look at me. This isn't you, not even with the feeling of grief, you'd never act like this."
"Hey!" That little girl—Tetra—pushed Troi inside, "Give me- Huh?"
She gave me a confused look.
"Aren't you that boy who went over to that big guy?" She asked, confused, setting her small knife at her side, "But you're the only one here... How am I supposed to take stuff when it's just you here?"
