So we recently figured out Spirit got a fever or something from Blue.
So that's great, but, in all seriousness, he's really sick. Spirit is not doing too good.
"Okay, Spirit. Please, I just need you to take a little sip of water, alright?" Tetra asked, giving Spirit a cup of water Red had gotten from Windfall Island.
Spirit ignored her, or so we hoped it was just him being stubborn. I really hoped it was just that, and not anything effecting the rest of his body.
"Spirit?" Tetra asked, "How warm are you today...?"
She set the back of her hand on Spirit's forehead, then was surprised at something, though I couldn't tell what.
"Blue, we...We need you to get more cold water to put on him." Tetra calmly said, though, while calm, sad, and sounding even a little upset.
"Okay..." Blue picked up the cloth we had found to rest on Spirit's forehead to maybe cool him down.
I kinda just sat there and didn't do anything but worry. I was worried about Blue. I was worried about Spirit. And I was worried about Tetra.
I was afraid Tetra might get it. I was afraid Spirit couldn't make it. And I was afraid Blue's heart would stop.
"Hey, Spirit? Sit up for me, please." Tetra politely asked, speaking softly.
"Hnnnnnngh..." Spirit groaned, making a soft, sick face.
"Spirit, please."
Spirit tried to sit up, and he very obviously tried his best and hardest to do it, but couldn't quite get there.
So Tetra put her hand behind his back and pulled him up.
As he opened his eyes, his ears drooped down and his face flushed red, letting out a tiny yawn and leaning into Tetra.
"Link, please, could I have a little help?" Tetra asked, looking to me.
And so I got up and helped.
"Have him rest on you while I check him." Tetra said.
"Okay." I said, turning Spirit so he leaned on me.
Tetra crawled around to Spirit's back, and lifted up his shirt to check.
"His back's essentially on fire at this point...I couldn't even begin to imagine what his belly and head must feel like. It must be horrible." Tetra said, rubbing his back, "Now flip him over so I can check his belly."
"Alright." I flipped Spirit around.
Tetra simply reached her hand up his shirt and patted around a little. "Hoo! It's hot in there, alright! Maybe it would aid him to just remove the shirt altogether? Not trying to be weird, I promise. Just...I think it might make him a little better."
"Oh...Uh...Okay." I said, unbuttoning the front of Spirit's shirt and taking it off.
"Here's the cloth." Blue said, handing it to Tetra.
"Thank you. I appreciate it, really. It helps a lot." Tetra said.
Tetra set the cold cloth on Spirit's belly first, and when she did, Spirit's stomach growled angrily to the touch.
Tetra removed the cloth and placed it on his forehead.
Spirit grumbled a few words, and those of which we couldn't understand. It was near impossible.
Blue looked really guilty, and so did Tetra.
I'm not sure why Tetra looked guilty, but I could ask.
...Oooooooh...But that'd take confidence...Her answer could be really personal and I might offend her and that'd be really bad because then she wouldn't like me and if she doesn't like me then she won't love me and if she doesn't love me I'll be depressed and sad again and I'll get even more anxiety! No! No! Absolutely not!
