You know... I wonder how Grandma's doing?

"Link!" My boat yelled at me, "You did it! You calmed Valoo!"

"Yeah...I guess I did, didn't I?"

We sat in a moment of silence. Well, other than the waves crashing onto the moonlit shore.

"I'm very sorry for snapping out like that earlier... I'm just not having the best birthday of my life, and was—and still am—kind of angry. I was never frustrated at you, I was confused, frustrated, and not feeling well, either. I'm sorry." I apologized, binding my hands together by my fingers and not maintaining eye contact.

"It's okay, I understand. Just don't do that again, it really worried me. Also, I accept your apology, thank you." Red said, "Why don't we spend the night here? It'll be awfully hard finding your way around the ocean at night with no idea of how to get anywhere."

"Okay." I agreed.

That gives me more time to spend with Tetra and Medli.

Yay!

"But we will leave early in the morning."

"What?! But that's no fair! I probably won't even get enough sleep! Or-Ah- Eat breakfast! I can't sail on an empty stomach!"

"It'd be a good idea to sail on an empty stomach. Remember what happened last time?"

"...Oh yeah..." I remembered, "But I can't sail when I'm sleepy!"

"Then go to bed now. If we leave at seven, you'd get nine hours of sleep."

"Fine..." I grumbled, "but what if I need to rest because I hurt my legs?"

"You'll be fine. You can sit while you sail, Link. Stop trying to get out of it." Red told me sternly.

"But I jumped from a really high place and hurt my ankles!"

"You're fine!"

"He's a heavy sleeper," Tetra hopped down from a platform, "If you're leaving at seven, good luck. He won't wake up."

"Exactly! What she said!" I exclaimed, my voice echoing off the peak.

"Then we may leave at nine. You could be getting eleven hours of sleep, you two. I'm sure Tetra would like to ride along." Red commented with a sigh, "Don't be crackheads, you two."

"I won't!" We both exclaimed in unison.

"...And none of you better have done anything suspicious, Link."

"I'm thirteen!"

"I'm fourteen!"

"I say what needs to be said. Now go away. I'm going to sleep."

Tetra and I walked off, remaining silent all the way up. Well...almost. Tetra was muttering the whole time, mumbling so I couldn't understand.

I sighed.

I wanna go home...

Like,
Really wanna go home...

"You sound upset, Link..." Tetra said, speaking clearly, but sounding down herself.

"I'm not upset," I replied, "I just really want to go home is all."

"Mkay..." Tetra mumbled.

"You sound down yourself, Tetra?"

"None of your concern."

"Though it is. I'm just trying to be a good friend is all."

Tetra no longer replied, making me worry a bit. Im just worried. I really just want to be able to keep a friend.
