Chapter 17: Castlestein

(Start of Episode 5!)

Third P.O.V 

It was another day at work. Five and Miko was currently playing a game on the one of the game console displays and Kitty was stocking shelves and helping customers. "Yes, collected all the shmoogs. Now for the third warp." Five said. "Oh, don't miss the Easter egg, under the last ring int eh chain." Miko said. Five did as she was instructed and got a power up. "Wow, how did you know about that?" Five asked in amazement. 

"Found it on my second play though." Miko said. "You already beat this game?" Five asked with an eyebrow raise. "You know how it is. Till I've totally beaten a game, I just can't move on to the next one." Miko said. "Sure yeah, I know how it is." Five brushed off with a shrug. "So you've beaten every game?" Five asked. "Well, not, like, every game." Miko shrugged. "Oh, ok." Five said. "Just the one's I've tried." Miko said. Catching Five off guard and panic; causing him to loose in the game. 

"Alright you two, I've got a mission for ya." Phil said as he walked by wit Kit following. The three of them shared a fist bump. Heading on over to the locker room to get ready for the mission. They piled into a HInobi van and drove to the location of the mission. "Ok, here's the deal. Nix and Bergy have gone AFK on a case. Cant raise them on gauntlets, so I need a B team to go in after them." Phil informed them on the windshield screen. "Really? We're B Team?" Five asked in astonishment. "What about Mitch? Or any other more experienced tech?" Kitty asked, causing Miko to nudge her. "Well, figuratively you're the B Team. Literally, you're the D Team. But ya work with the tools you got, right?" Phil said. 

Kit giving a 'I told you so' smirk to Miko, who nudged her earlier for talking them down. "Dudes, that's us. We're the tools!" Miko said as she shook the twins excitedly. The three of them sharing a high five. "Wonderful...Now, according to our data, you're facing a Mapper glitch, capable of laying video game maps over real life environments. The glitch you face in that house is the game itself. So, you beat the game, you beat the glitch, Capisce?" Phil said with an eyebrow raise. "We totally capisce it!" Kit said. "Yeah, which game is it again?" Five said as he crossed his arms. "Yeah, it was hard to make it out from their last transmission. Something like Castlegrime, or-..." Phil said. "O-M-squee! I love Castlestein!" Miko said with excitement as she got out of the car. 

"Yeah. Totally beat that one." Five said, making Kitty give him a crazy look. Miko knocks on the door and it creaks open creepily. "Creaking door. It's gonna take more than that to freak us..." Miko laughed only to eat her words as they saw the inside of the house. It was completely transformed into a real life Castlestein castle. With the lightning, statues, tall ceiling, candle light. "Oh, okay. That's kinda creepy." Miko said, taking back what she said. They then look around and slowly enter in. Seeing how the interior does not match with the exterior. 

"woah, seems like these graphic maps are only located inside the house." Five said. "Map, no map. Map. No map." Miko and Kit said as he bob their heads in and out of the door.  Amusing themselves. "Thanks for clearing that up, you two." Phil said, unamused as he drank his coffee. The transmission on the gauntlet getting scratchy. "Let's find those other Techs and bust this glitch." Five said as he headed in, Miko and Kitty following after him. 

"Ah! I cant believe it! We're actually inside the castle form Castelstein!" Miko gushed as she looked all around. "Phil, are you monitoring this?" Five asked. "Yes, but there's a wall of interference dulling the signal. What do you see?" Phil said on Five's gauntlet, while Miko take pictures. Kit joining in on some of them. "Um, walls of interference." Five said as he scanned around, as he did parts of the original house layout revealed itself under the scan. "Is that a tech gauntlet?" Kit pointed out. There was a stone hand with a tech gauntlet, Miko decided to pull at it. Once she did she fell over.
