Chapter 12: XP Quest, Round 2

Third P.O.V 

Five, Miko and Kit followed the bird to a park, where it caught the jungle gym on fire and caused some kids to run away. "Okay, we still don't have the stats for the bird, bit I crossed-referenced other known glitches that can teleport." Kit said as she leaned forward to the front to display her findings on the windshield for Five and Miko. "Crossing the reference. Brilliant." Miko said as she pointed finger guns at Kit. "It says here if a porter is physically restrained by a creature who can't teleport, it prevents it from using the ability." Five said as he read the info his sister put up. 

"So grab it, and it can't poof out on us again." Miko summarized. "Uh, yeah. Grab it, basically." Kit said. "Genius." Miko said as she looked at the bird and twiddled her thumbs mischievously. She then goes to the back of the van, connect some controllers together to create a makeshift lasso for the bird. "All right, chichadork, here we go!" Miko said as she lassoed the bird's neck and managing to sit on it. Which caused it to not be able to teleport anymore. "All out of poof juice? It's called research, glitch!" Miko said tauntingly to the bird. 

Five tried to sweep in and grab Miko's gauntlet but the bird kept moving out of the way. "Dont worry. I've got this. Almost got it." Five said as he tried to get to the bird on the other side of the roundabout, only to charge at it and miss. "Give up the gauntlet, Tweety!" Miko screams as she pulls at the controller cable that was around the bird. The bird then flicks the gauntlet in the air. "I got it!" Kit yelled as she lined herself up to grab the gauntlet.

Only for the bird to stretch its tongue and catch it before she could, then proceeds to swallow the gauntlet. Miko gasps in horror. The glitch bird then began to flicker and glow pink. "Oh nerds." Kit says as the bird was aiming its head at her. "Kit watch out!" Five calls out. As the bird is about to breath fire at her she's pushed out of the way. Everything the pink fire beam from the bird touched turned into pixels. "What did you noobs do this time?!" someone above Kit said. Kit looks up and sees..."Mitch? What are you doing here?" Kit asked. (A/N: I figured I add in Mitch, even though I said before that I wasn't sure on how I would add Mitch in the episodes where he isn't involved). 

"Uuuhhh...I was on patrol and found some easy XP, only to find you noobs failing." Mitch said as he got up and dusted himself off. He held his hand out to help her up, but then didn't want anyone seeing him being nice. So instead he took his hand back away and swiped his hair back. At the corner of his eye he could see Kit pout and look down as she helped herself up. Mitch was actually there because it was Kit's first patrol. He didn't want to admit he was worried, but also curious on how she would do.  

The Bird started to shoot at Five, who dove out of the way."It's using the gauntlet beams?" Five said. "Come again? Gauntlet? Did one of you noobs lose your gauntlet to this thing?!" Mitch said. "Wait, that means the bird gets all the power from what ever it eats!" Kit said, as she searched her gauntlet inventory for something to help them. 

"Miko, this thing gets power from what ever it eats." Five said as Miko was using the heimlich maneuver on the bird, causing it to shoot out beams. "Ugh, quit it. You're pixelating everything!" Mitch said as he was un-pixelating everything in the park. "What's your take on whether it has a gag reflex?"  Miko yelled. "I guess it requires something super disgusting." Five said. "I don't have any gross food in my inventory." Kit said. "The lunch!" Five and Miko say at the same time. 

Five goes and gets the lunch, while Miko is trying to keep the bird held down. "Alright, bird brain, time to eat your vegetables!" Five said as he was running over with the gross lunch.Kit decided to run beside him, whipping out a bat from her gauntlet. As the bird shoots at Five, she takes the bat and hits it elsewhere. One almost hitting Mitch and the others  hitting some trees. "Hey! Watch where you bat those around!" Mitch said. Five tosses the lunch into the air. Miko jumps up and catches it, slam dunking it into the bird's throat.
