Chapter 31: Ralphie Bear

Third P.O.V

It was another day at work in the Hinobi store as Kitty was ringing up customers and Miko was looking over the stocked items on the tablet. The TV then turned on showing an advertisement.

"If you love video games, you'll also love Joystick Junior. Bailley's oldest video game pizza-cade, now celebrating 15 years of fun, prizes and birthday surprises! And all next week, we ceelbrate your birthday with Ralphie Bear. Now back on our showroom after ten years!" the TV ad said as the theme song started to play with the location logo on screen.

"Oh, no! It's back." Miko started with a mortified face. "I know! After all these years, Ralphie BEar is finally back!" Five said with excitement. "Ralphie Bear? Who in the world is that? And who cares? Let's go sell some stuff shall we?" Miko said in a quick nervous tone. "I agree with my gal pal Miko here. We should go sell some stuff to customers. And I'm proving Mitch the obvious truth, that I can sell more stuff to him because of my great customer service skill streak." Kitty said with a hair flip, putting an arm around Miko's shoulders. "Please, it's not about being nice, love. It's about being able to peak their interest and give them an offer they can't refuse." Mitch said as he swiped his hair back.

"If I win, he'll let me change his hair style." Kitty whispered to Miko with a squeal. She began to pull Miko away from Five so that they can work. "Pause it right there dude. You've never heard of Ralphie Bear?" Five said in shock as he pulled Miko back. "That thing gives me the creeps Five." Kitty said as she shuttered, seeing the TV ad. Five ran off to sit Miko down to show her a demonstration of the history of Ralphie Bear. Unfortunately, Kitty and Mitch was also roped into it. "Ugh, why are we even here? We've got work to do." Mitch said irritably. Casually grabbing Kitty from her seat and placing her on his lap, wrapping his arms around her. "Yeah, Five can you hurry it along?" Kitty said as she laid back in Mitch's lap, crossing her arms.

"Alright, alright. Quit your whining." Five said as he turned on one of the TV screens. "When Bailley's own Joystick Junior first opened its pizza arcade doors, owner Jimmy Alcorn invented the world's first totally immersive, all robot birthday themed stage play." Five said enthusiastically. "Honestly, Five, I don't really need you to-." Miko started, but Five interrupted her by leaning her chair back. "Okay, wow, this is happening." Miko said, defeated. "Merging Hinobi's cutting edge robotics with the latest rubber mask and googly eye ball technologies, the show's star Ralphie Bear soon became a birthday icon with an animatronic show that all kids loved.

Uh-huh. What show?" Miko asked. "Ugh, why did you ask him?" Mitch complained as he threw his head back groaning, his eyes rolling to the back of his head in irritation. Knowing this would only keep Five going with his presentation. "Kids would be given a birthday cake, then, bam! Cakey von Smasher would show up and try to smash it." Five said as an example showed up on screen. "Uh...she looks worse than Ralphie Bear..." Kitty shuttered, hating the look of Cakey. "And isn't that like, a major hazard for kids possibly getting hit instead?"Mitch asked, thinking how stupid all of it is. "Buuut, kids would sing for their hero." Five said, and then proceeded to sing the jingle that would summon Ralphie Bear.

"And boom! Ralphie would pop up and fight Cakey Von Smasher in an epic robot battle to save your birthday!" Five said happily. "Until..." Five said menacingly. "Here we go..." Kitty said, having to deal with Five once Ralphie Bear was decommissioned. "Until?" Miko asked. "Until ten years ago, when a group of innocent kids arrived to find their birthday party cancelled and the doors of the robot theater closed, never to be opened again." Five said dramatically as the screen showed imagery.
