Chapter 36: Ridley the Recrute

[Start of Episode 5, Season 2]

(A/N: I'm skipping a chunk of the first bit up until Mitch comes in. Because since Kit is his mission partner, there's no point in her joining in Five's and Miko's as often anymore like before. Of course, unless I feel like it's pivotal to Kitty's development along with Mitch)

Third P.O.V 

Kitty walks into the main area where she sees Five and Miko giving the girl from before, Ridley, a tour of HQ. She raises an eyebrow, confused as to why they even brought her here. "Hello and welcome to Hinobi HQ. I'm High Five, and I'll be your tour guide today!" Five said with a Hinobi hat that had wings on the side. Pointing at various of things around the HQ area. Kitty walked up to them as Phil walked up to them as well. "You'll see you're annoyed boss." Phil said with his arms crossed. "Hey guys." Kitty greeted. 

"Good afternoon, Techs." BITT greeted, but then turned to Ridley. "And unauthorized intruder!" BITT said as he pointed a gauntlet at Ridley to brain wash her. "Phil! We were just gonna come see you. We have a new recruit we wanna train, and she's right here, and I'm noticing now that you're looking a little angry about it." Miko said, trailing off as she saw Phil's face. "My office. Now-ish." Phil said sternly. "You guys have fun with that...I'm gonna go find Mitch to see what missions we have." Kitty said, quickly getting out of there.

"Hey! Lina. We got a mish." Mitch said as he pulled up his gauntlet after they finished up a glitch job. "Please don't tell me it involves my brother's team." Kitty said, giving him a suspicious look. She saw on her gauntlet that her brother and Miko were near by with Ridley on a mission. "You know me so well, love." Mitch said as he blew her a kiss as he got into the van to start it up. Kitty rolled her eyes playfully and smiled a bit. "Fine, but this is you're doing. Not mine." Kitty said as she got into the van and he sped off. 

Once they arrived, Kitty saw Ridley take a shot at the glitch successfully. Turning it into it's organic form. Mitch took that opportunity to take it, gaining it's XP. "Mitch Williams, nice to beat you." Mitch said as he swiped his hair back. "Ugh, why do you have to be so hot yet so menacing babe?" Kitty said as she blushed, but glared at her boyfriend. Causing Mitch to wink back at Kitty. "Mtich, you griefer! That was Ridley's target." Miko said as she put her hand on Ridley's shoulder. "Uh, Ridley? Oh! That weirdo you brough off the street who nearly hurt my girlfriend with her glitchy mods." Mitch said in realization. Which riled Ridley up. Kitty glared and smacked Mitch's arm. "Hey, she's our friend. And she didn't mean to hurt Kit." Miko said, defending Ridley. 

"Yeah, and she's apart of the team now." Five added. "Well, congradulations tiny. You just joing the most pathetic team on the Glitch Techs leaderboards." Mitch said sarcastically. "We're not pathetic." "They're not pathetic." Miko and Kitty said respectively. "Did you forget I was apart of their team for a bit?" Kitty added. "Right you are Miko. Sixth place isn't pathetic. It's hopeless. And love, the moment we became a team, your EXP transferred to the top of the boards." Mitch said as he pulled up the leader boards on his gauntlet projector. "You need to catch double your daily average to beat my capture score."Mitch said as he laughed while walking off. "Now its not our? Jus your capture score?" Kitty said slowly getting irritated by her boyfriend's usual behavior. "Sorry about him. I'll try and keep him out of your guy's hair for the time being. See you guys later." Kitty said as she went to the hinobi van. 

Once she was in, Mitch sped off. Kitty crossed he arms and glared at Mitch. "You know what happens now." Kitty said. "Boosh..." Mitch said in realization. If he is ever truly mean or rude to Five, Miko, or others for no reason she gives him the silent treatment. She know's it irks him, hence why she does it. Figured it's the best way to try and teach him to be respectful to others. Rather than arguing or making a whole deal about it. She know's he won't change, it's his ego manly and his ambition.
