Chapter 35: Glitch Williams 2.0

Third P.O.V 

As Miko was making her way from the party and in-between the Conga line, Phil was calling out to her. "Have some fun! Make some friends! Or you're fired!" Phil said. However, Miko was distracted by Mitch leading Venkman, another coworker, away from the party randomly. "That creepazoid is definitely up to something." Miko said as she followed him.

"You know, we don't talk enough, Venkman. Tell me about yourself." Mitch said as Miko creeped around corners to follow. Miko rounded the corner seen Mitch open and close a door behind Venkman. "Hey!" she said. "Enjoying the party?" Mitch asked. "Okay, Williams. Five and Kit may be buying into the epic return of their hero, MitchFTW. But if you break that trusting heart of theirs, especially Kit's, you're going to have me to deal with." Miko said as she approached him.

Mitch chucked menacingly, "you know, you and Five always have each other's back. Sometimes, I think I'm so awful to you both is because I just...I know I'll never have that kind of bond with anyone." Mitch said with a sad look.

 "Uh... is that hat cutting your blood circulation to your brain? Cause you have that bond with Kit, your girlfriend. So yeah, I don't buy it." Miko said with her arms crossed. "That's okay. If I can't change your mind, I'll just have to change you!" Mitch said, his eyes glowing green, his voice all glitched up. He smoothly sways to the side and opens the mystery door. 

Tentacles emerge from the darkness, making Miko shriek. "Haha, I knew you were up to something shady! I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!" Miko said triumphantly. The tentacles then charge for her. "Oh, dango." Miko said as she put on her Nobi gear and started blasting at the tentacles. 

But she tripped as the floor boards gave out from under her. Come to find out there were some glitch sludge inside the floors. Grabbing onto her and trapping her against the floor boards. "I hate being right!" Miko yelled as she is forced int the dark abyss of glitch tentacles. 

On the dance floor, everyone, except Five and Kit, all had BUDS caps on. Five and Kit looks around curiously, starting to feel a bit suspicious about the vibes at this party. "Uh, have you guys seen Mitch around." Kit asked. "Trust in Mitch..." Nix said, who was synchronized dancing with Haneesh and Bergy. "Unlock all the hide achievements..." Haneesh said. "That your life's quest bat has to offer..." Bergy said. 

Each of them having a dilated look in their eyes. "Yeah, okay, cool. So uh, anyone seen Miko?" Five asked. "Don't worry about Miko! She's not your bud. She doesn't even have a hat line ours!" Zahra said as she whirled Five around, showing her hat off to him and getting up in his face. "Yeah!" said everyone else who was around. Each of them with a BUDS had and glowing green eyes. 

All of them looked and surrounded the twins, making Kit hold onto her brother's arm. "Yeah, I was gonna ask you guys about those." Five said nervously. "Think I'll go see if I can find her one." Five said trying to escape from their stares. 

"Hi, Five, Kitty." Miko said, startling the twins. "Miko! We wanted to say sorry. I think you're right. Something might be a little off about Mitch and this party." Kit said, but then noticed her hat. She had a scared look as she tried to tug her brother to get his attention. "No Five, you two were right. Mitch really has changed. We all have." Miko said. "Five." Kit whispered, trying to get his attention. "But you said people don't just...uh, where did you get that hat?" Five asked, noticing his sister's signal. "What hat?" Miko asked. "This hat!" Five said as he snatched it off her head. 

Miko's fave then unfolded, revealing a glitch alien tentacle monster. "EW, uh...here you can have it back!" Kit said as she took the hat from her brother and tossed it at Miko. The tentacle monster begins to approach the twins. Causing Five to knock over Kit into two people's arms. Kit and Five screams as the reveal their glitched tentacle heads.
