Chapter 7: Tutorials

START: Episode 2

*~*A/N: I accidentally spell Inspector 7's name wrong a couple of times. I put Barbra instead of Barbara 🤷🏻‍♀️. And I already typed a bunch of the episode before I realized 😬. But I think we all get who I'm talking about. Also, if its not obvious, I'll be going through the episodes normal with Kit included. I was telling my friend how I wish there was more Mitch scenes in the first season, and she suggested why don't I try to include him more. I didn't know how to formulate inputting him into the scenes with Five and Miko that he's not in. So until there are Mitch scenes I'll just occasionally put scenes where its small fluffy interactions between Kit and Mitch. 

Third P.O.V
(Italics is the fantasy scene that occurs as Five is narrating)

"Have you ever seen  what really happens inside a video game when it starts to glitch?" Five said. Narrating their adventure that landed them a job at Hinobi.

The Chomp Kitty game begins to glow green as a giant glitch chomp kitty emerges from the game screen. Eating everything g in its path.

"Chomp Kitty was a glitch from a game that was totally out of order, so we had to pull the plug." Miko said as she continued to narrate.

Five and Miko are in epic looking Hinobi gear. Ready to face Chomp Kitty.

"I told him, 'you picked the wrong ball of yarn to you with, Kitty!'" Five said. Pointing at the chomp kitty as epic lighting caster behind him.

"I don't remember you saying that." Miko said. Interrupting Five's heroic moment. "I would if I had thought to." Five replied.

The chomp kitty licks its lips as it looks at Five and Miko.

"But I do remember us blasting it to plixel dust, because when video games glitch..." Miko said. As she jumped off the game box she was sitting on. Striking a cool landing pose. Her and Five aiming their gauntlets at the glitch.

"Us glitch techs scratch the itch." Five said.
Both of them blasting a hole in Chomp Kitty's stomach. And then the arcade building exploding of blue and pink. Chomp kitty going down to organic glitch form and and Five scanning and containing the glitch. Both striking a cool pose as a spotlight shines on them.

(End of fantasy flashback)

Five and Miko were in the Hinobi shop behind the counter, supposed to be helping a customer. But they were still striking their poses, Miko standing on one of the company's computers.

"All I asked was if you sold rechargeable batteries." The woman said with her armed crossed. "Uuuh, I think so. It's our first day." Five said laughing. "Haha sorry ma'am. You see these two are still learning the ropes of the business. You know, where things are, what they cost and how we never tell customers about our super secret tast force of monster hunters!" Phil said to Five and Miko.

Kitty just came back from stocking some controllers, "I tried to tell them." She said. "I'm so confused." The woman said. "Oh good! Please accept a coupon and a memory wipe of everything my employees just told you." Phil said as he took his manager tag, the woman looking directly at it, and flashing the memory wiping system.

Once the woman was finished resetting she seen the coupon in her hands. "Oooh a coupon! And I was going to ask if you sold-."

"Rechargeable batteries I'm guessing? Those will be on aisle 3 ma'am." Kitty said as she pointed and directed the woman to the aisle. "Ok, yeah, you two have worked this counter long enough. At least Kitty is getting work done and actually know our policies." Phil said turning towards Five and Miko. "Dude, first day and already getting promoted!" Miko said with a fist bump in the air. Five cheering with her.

"If you three are going to be Glitch techs, you need to take the tutorial." Phil said. "Ok." Kitty said, "yes!" Five said, and "No!" Miko said, all three of them at the same time. Miko shrinking to the ground like she's being melted.

Kitty's P.O.V

Phil takes us to the locker room. And turns one of the dials. Causing the warp gate to open that goes to the glitch tech HQ in the store. "Ugh! Tutorials are the most boring part of any game." Miko said with a hateful passion. "What about chaining you whip stitch in Crochet Fighter." Five said as he made the motion.

"Or club onion volcanos in Teppanyaki 4." I say. Five agreeing with an enthusiastic nod. "Not that I don't love a good debate, which that wasn't, there's no opt out of this. You have plenty to learn besides to slay glitches." Phil said. Five and Miko began to walk into the warp, "w-wait guys!" Kitty said. But it was too late. Miko had her food stuck and five had his head stuck in the portal gate.

"The partial gate is not warmed up guys." I said, witnessing this issue when Bergy, one of our co workers, went through. "In which you do NOT enter until it is warmed up." Phil said. He then hits the lockers 2 times and the portal gate was kick started. Warping Five and Miko in. I follow right after.

"Sup glitch techs? we're here!" Miko says. As everyone was occupied. "H-hi Mitch!" I say, accidentally stuttering and my voice breaking a bit. He just gives me a glance but says nothing as he continues to watch some video of a girl on his gauntlet. I pout a bit but then jump as BITT pops up out of nowhere.

"Alert! Alert! There is one new message in your personal mailbox." He says as he points at Phil. "Yeah, yeah. What ever it is, it can wait BITT. Just take the new trainees and set them up in the training sim for me, ok?" Phil asks. "But-." BITT says, obviously having something important to tell. "And the rest of you. Stop lurking the lobby down there! Yeah, you! Get our on your morning patrols!" Phil says to the others.

"Phil, its a slow day out there!" Mitch says as he turns off the video on his gauntlet. "Well let's keep it that way!" Phil demanded. Causing everyone to scramble and work. Mitch pops his collar, taps his gauntlet to create a portal and puts his Glitch tech uniform on. Portaling away as he said 'boosh'. "B-bye Mitch!" I say, hoping he heard me before he left.

"When do we get one of these Glitch Tech gauntlets?" Five asked as he snatched Bergy's gauntlet as he walked by. "When you complete the tutorial." Phil said. "Ugh! Ok fine." Miko said as she snatched the gauntlet from Phil. "If it gets us one of these babies, let's just burn through it." Miko said. Bergy giving up on retrieving his gauntlet back.

"Well, the first three hours are the worst. But the last five really fly by." Phil said. "W-wait? E-eight hours?" I ask. Shocked at how long the tutorial takes. Miko groans and used the gauntlet to smack her forehead in frustration.
