Chapter 37: Ridley to the Rescue

Third P.O.V 

Ridley popped up with Horn on top of a building outside of the Hinobi store with tears in her eyes. "I should have bolted the moment I got a hold of the gauntlet instead of hanging around thinking they'd actually..." Ridley sniffled, until she was interupted by her tech catching a bunch of glitches near by that the released on them. Horn started to meow at her. "What? They're professionals, Horn. It's nothing they can't handle. We need this." Ridley said as she got off Horn. Looking down at the gauntlet and seeing all the glitches in the facility with a warning sign due to the capacity outreached. "Ugh, who programed your heuristics anyway?" Ridley grunted as Horn rubbed against her. Trying to convince her to go back and help them.

"I told you we were gonna get in there, and get what we need, and get back out...Nobody has to get hurt." Ridley said as she paused looking into Horn's big eyes. Realizing what she did was wrong. Ridley looked over at the Hinobi store as sparks flew into the air of the power systems.

Mitch started shooting his gauntlet at the door, trying to get out. "Ugh! What's going on out there? Come on, open up you stupid door!" Mitch said as he started kicking at the door. He had to get out there to figure out what's going on so he can protect Kitty. All of a sudden the door shield is deactivated and there stood Ridley who tampered with the wires to get it open. "Hey hotshot, you want your top score back? I need back up." Ridley said. "Me? Back up a noob? Oh come on." Mitch said with a sarcastic laugh. "I may be new around here, but trust me, sport..I'm no newbie." Ridley said as she grabbed Mitch by his chest plate uniform and pulled him down aggressively. "Don't you want to save your pretty girlfriend?" Ridley said as the two glared at each other. 

Meanwhile with Miko, Five, Kitty, and Phil, they were still in the shield bubble surrounded by glitches. "What do we do when the shield breaks?" Miko said, worried. "I guess we fight." Five said. Phil saw that the shield's integrity was getting low and told them to get ready. The four of them activating their weapons, along with BITT. "Hey glitches!" Ridley said as her and Mitch ride in on Horn. "Ridley?!" Miko said in surprise. "Mitch?" Kitty said as she saw him on the back of Horn. "Get away from my friends!" Ridley said. "And my girlfriend!" Mitch said. Ridley started to shoot at them and signaled Mitch to go. Mitch jumped into the air and ground pounded with his fist with a "Boosh!". Causing all the glitches to get blasted back. Phil, Kitty, Miko, and Five stood there in shock. Kitty more in awe and admiration, swooning.

"How did Mitch do that?!" Phil said in shock. "I gave him some Ridley flair." Ridley said. Mitch started to shoot at the glitches. Phil ordering the others to focus on them as well while he goes to repair the containment breach. They each take on glitches as Phil types onto the computer systems. "Okay! This is the part where someone yells 'hold onto something'!" Phil alerted. Once they were able to have a down time from blasting glitches they took their spots to hold on. Mitch grabbing Kitty and shielding her behind a wall. Five and Miko together. And then Horn and Ridley. The hub in the middle start to glow as all the glitches are sucked back into the system. Horn started to get sucked in but Ridley put Horn back into her tablet before the containment system could take him. Once the glitches were contained, the lock down was released. 

"Knew you'd come back." Miko said. "No you didn't." Ridley said. "Well maybe we didn't but we hoped." Five rephrased. "Friends gotta have each other's backs. Right?" Ridley said as she handed back her gauntlet. Miko and Five gave Ridley a hug in thanks. Kitty smiled at the sight, glad that the hard part was over. She looked over at Mitch and gave him a hug. Which he returned quickly. "You're forgiven." Kitty said as she hugged him tighter. Mitch sighed in content and held Kitty close to him. Kissing the top of her head in thanks. "I want to tell you ahead of time love, but I have another plan that was at first suppose to help make up for what I said and did today." Mitch said. Kitty tilted her head in confusion. Mitch reassured her that she'll see in a bit, but to trust him.
