Alina

It has been 2 months since I almost died from a rabid dog bite aka pervert Nate. I leave for school today, but I keep having this horrible stomach pain all day long. What if I am making the wrong choice by leaving? What if something bad happens while I am away? I still get this feeling someone is watching me, but my wolf does not act up or growl.

I start packing my room and only take the bare minimal. I look around my room, trying to figure out what I should to take with me. Why is this so hard? All of my clothes are workout ones, so I will have to buy school clothes when I get there. I will just take my laptop and phone since I can buy everything else later. Dad already found a small cabin and put furniture in there for me already.

I look around and see my childhood and teenage years in here. I feel a tear run down my face. I never cry, but I never have left home for more than a few hours. I will be 3 hours away, which is an easy run back home, but I will be alone for most of the time I am at school. I should be able to keep my head high until thanksgiving break comes.

I walk to the door and take one more look at my room. I am sure it will be the same once I come back. I walk out the door and Austin is waiting for me. I know he will have a hard time with me gone for a while. My brother ran off last month to God knows where and it is stressing dad out since I told him what jake said to me before he left.

''That's all you are taking?''

''I don't have much to begin with, anyway. Why would I take everything with me if I am only a three hours away? I don't need to bring much since my dad furnished the cabin for me and I really don't have school clothes either.''

''Yea, I'm sure workout clothes would be a great way to start your first day of college.''

I rolled my eyes at him.

''Sport bras and shorts aren't very appropriate. I will leave here in a few hours so I can hopefully settle in before Monday.''

''Who is taking your job at the library?''

''I don't know some omega. I really don't know her.''

''I will miss my running and sparring partner. I hope you will stay on top of training.''

''Of course I will. Don't need you beating me during our sparring time.''

''I will be Alpha soon. I can't have my head warrior outshine me.''

I doubt that will ever happen.

''I guess you know I won't be the beta, Poor Austin.''

As long as dad keeps his promise.

''I am not dumb Alina, I know what you want.''

''I just hope my father will understand one day.''

''Question? What happens if you find your mate when you go to school?''

''I haven't thought about that, to be honest. Not all male wolves like their mates to train or fight. I hope mine is not like that.''

''Yea, my grandfather was one of those men and when the pack was attacked, my grandmother had no way of defending herself against so many rogues at the same time. She died and my grandfather blamed himself. Dad was only 12 when that happen. Before I forget, Madison is coming home on Monday.''

That brat is finally coming home, huh?

''She not a brat anymore. she is, 16, so it is time for her to come back home. Dad wants her here when he makes me Alpha.''

''I wish I could be here for that.''

''Yea, me too, but I understand what you need to do.''

Let's get going before my dad has my head. He wanted to do a go away party.
