New Allies And Enemies

Robb was waiting to meet lady Lyanna Mormont of Bear island.
After the lords of Dragonstone had pledged fealty to him, Robb had banished Melisandre from the North, claiming that Stannis was not a child and knew what he was doing but still she had had helped him and so instead of sheading more blood he had decided to just banish the woman.

Queen Selyse had been found dead, the woman seemed to feel to much guilt about almost killing her own daughter, and took her own life.

As for lady Shireen, Robb asked his brother if the girl could stay at Castle Black under the protection of Ser Davos who had stayed to take care of the young girl until the King returne, Jon had agreed as he knew though Castle Black could not keep feeding the entire army but one child and man was no problem.

So now the Stark king stood in a small room, Lyanna Mormont enters and sits at a high table flanked by a commander and a maester.

"So it is true. The king in the North survived the red wedding." The young fearless lady tells Robb, having no patient for small talk.

Robb purses his lips remembering the horrid affair "I did my lady, and i offer my condolences for your mother's death, as well as the death of your men who died fighting and would like to apologize for hoe my mistakes lead to their death." This seems to satisfy the lady as she nods her head accepting the condolences.

"So what brings you here?" She finally asks him.

"When Stannis asked you to recognize him as king you wrote...."before he could continue, Lyanna stated "i remember what i wrote "Bear Island knows no king, but the king in the North whose name is Stark." However i have to ask you, why should i let more of my men die fighting for a man who lost the North. And someone else's war."

Robb was about to answer but lord Caron, as one of the first to pledge his house to Robb, decides to speak up "My lady you do not know me, and i am not from the North but if i may?" To his words Lyanna turns to the Maester and the two exchange words before the girl turns to the southern man and tells him to continue.
"Go on my lord."

"I fought my whole life for House Baratheon, hell there was a time i fought against king Robb.
But i saw reason leave the eyes of the man i served for years. And i was there when Robb Stark saved lady Shireen Baratheon from being burned alive by her own father. Myself and seven other lords have pledge ourselves to follow a Northern man, a king we will gladly follow. And with all due respect this is everyone's war, the Boltons betrayed their king, they murdered their fellow northerners for gold and castles. They are not honorable and need to taken from power." As he finished the lady Mormont turns to the maester and then back to Robb.

"House Mormont has kept faith with House Stark for 1,000 years. We will not break faith today."

Robb smiles "Thank you, my lady. How many fighting men can we expect?"

Lyanna leans to her military commander and they whisper to each other.

"62."

This makes Robb confused 62 was very little, sure he had around 5000 man, but he expected more.

"We are not a large house, but we're a proud one. And every man from Bear Island fights with the strength of 10 mainlanders." Lyanna Mormont explains her number.

I thank you for your men and help my lady, if they're half as ferocious as their lady, the Boltons are doomed.

The young lady smiles and nods.

"Lord Caron, any news from the scouts?" Robb asks as they prepare to return to mainland.

"The Boltons are not prepared for this attack so less than 4000 men hopefully."
Caron tells Robb as the two walk but stops to give his king the next news.
"Your grace it seems your sister, lady Sansa is at Winterfell. Married to Roose Bolton's legitimized bastard son, Ramsay."
The news makes Robb's face drop, now he had to win the battle, his sister was there, at least 3 Starks are alive, and gods be dammed if the number dropped to 2.
