At the Godswood in Winterfell, Bran Stark eyes are pure white as the boy wargs into a flock of ravens to fly over the Wall into the Lands of Always Winter. Through the ravens, he sees the army of the dead led by the White Walkers and the Night King, traveling south towards Eastwatch-by-the-Sea. His reconnaissance continues until the Night King sees the ravens, at which Bran severs the connection.

Maester Wolkan, who stands next to him does as he is told when the Stark lad tells him that they need to send ravens at once.

Later, in Winterfell's council chamber, Arya observes her sister presiding over a meeting of the Northern lords.
"The King in the North should stay in the north. We did not choose you to rule us, My Lady, but perhaps we should have." Lord Robett said causing the men to agree in unison. Yohn Royce stands up and walks in front of Sansa.
"The Knights of the Vale came here for you, Lady Stark."

"I understand. And know that i will forever be grateful for your kindness and bravery." She says before adding while looking at the rest of the lords. "You're very kind, my lords, but Robb is our king. He is doing what he thinks is best."

The men then sit down and everyone in the hall begins talking to one another.

Inside the halls of Winterfell Sansa and Arya are walking through the hall to Sansa's quarters having a discussion.

"I warned Robb and Jon this would happen. He can't leave the north and expect it to just sit and wait for him like Ghost does for Jon." The red wolf complained, but Arya tried to reason.
"He didn't. He trusted you to hold it for him."

"Well, he's not making it easy. The northern lords are proud." Sansa counters as the girls arrive at the older girl's quarters. Once inside Arya starts is glancing around the room.
"These are mother and father's chambers." She states.

"And?" Sansa questions, but her sister simply replies "Nothing". This causes Sansa to start becoming frustrated with her sister not saying what she trully means.

"Don't do that. Say what you mean." The older girl turns to face her younger sister.

"You always liked nice things. It made you feel better than everyone." Arya simply states causing Sansa to drop the papers in her hand on a table and look at Arya.

"Are you angry with me?" She questions Arya who tells her. "They were insulting Robb and you sat there and listened."

"I listened to their complaints, which is my responsibility as Lady of Winterfell." Sansa corrects, but this answer does not seem to satisfy the wild wolf, who then questions if the lords opinions matter to her.

"Glover has 500 men. Royce has 2,000. Offend them and Robb loses his army." Sansa tries to explain.

"Not if they lose their heads first." The wild wolf argues making Sansa explain to her sister that Winterfell didn't just fall into their hands. They took it back, and , Robb, Stannis Baratheon's men who defected to his side, the Mormonts and the Hornwoods, the Wildlings and the Vale, all of them working together. "Now, I'm sure cutting off heads is very satisfying, but that's not the way you get people to work together." Sansa tried to reason only for Arya to tell her "And if Jon doesn't come back, you'll need their support, so you can work together to give you what you really want."

This statement shocks Sansa who asks her sister how she could even think such horrible thing. But Arya counters that Sansa is already thinking about it even thought she might not want to the thought it self won't go away.

Disturbed and hurt by her younger sister's accusations, Sansa tells Arya that she has "work to do."

Much later, Arya is stalking Littlefinger as he is walking through the grounds of Winterfell. The young Stark girl sees him speaking with a servant but is too far to listen the conversation.
Then, Arya follows him to his personal quarters and sees him chatting at the door with Maester Wolkan. She eavesdrops on Petyr asking Wolkan if he is sure that "this" is the only copy.
