elina gave her father a cold smile as she elbowed one of the guards in the stomach, using the other hand to hold an axe as she hit the other with the butt of the weapon, causing him to fly away. elina dropped the axe and smiled, sickly sweet, at her father's face.

"not bad," her father gave her no response except for a sneer and turned away. elina rolled her eyes once her father was out of her view. the guards all backed away from elina, who rolled her eyes and scoffed at them.

a month had passed since her father has lost the control over the bewilderbeast and toothless had become the alpha instead. her father had taken out his anger on elina; the numerous scars and bruises had proved her so.

elina quickly realized her father was not as clever as she had originally thought him to be. elina never let the promise she made to stoick fade from her mind; in fact, she'd been training to kill drago bludvist, once and for all.

the axe in her hands didn't feel heavy anymore. elina walked through the ship, swinging the handle of the axe around on her finger as she effortlessly made her way through the crowds of vikings and dragons.

"father," elina said curtly, "when will i be able to fight you?"

elina had waited for this moment since forever. her eyes narrowed as her father raised one eyebrow, a smirk on his face. "ah, daughter. you believe you can win against me in a fight?" he laughed as if the idea was incredulous. elina's face remained stone cold.

"is that not what you have been training me for?" elina retorted. her father delivered a harsh slap towards her face, making elina's face reel backwards, her head pushing towards the left as her hair blocked her face.

she couldn't even feel the pain anymore. she just laughed, blowing the air away from her face. "you know that you will not kill me," she challenged her father. "you need me to survive. to win."

drago bludvist looked at her like she was a child. "i do not need you to survive," he said, walking around her like a fox surveying its prey. "and i will prove it to you." he took off his dragonskin cloak as the guards watched in fear. the daughter and father circled each other, waiting for each other to strike first.

elina recognized the pride and arrogance in her father's eyes. her brown eyes flashed blue, and with a yell, she charged towards her father. her father had been expecting this and ducked to the side, expecting elina to fall off the ship, but elina had been expecting that as well. she did a back handspring onto the helm of the ship as it swayed to the rhythm of the ocean.

with a growl, drago ran towards her, holding his axe in his hand. elina, with a leap, twisted in the air and landed so she was cornering drago instead. the guards all rushed towards them to help drago, but drago simply roared, "do not engage!"

elina's smirk slipped off her face as drago landed a kick on her already bruised stomach. elina groaned in pain, but still managed to stand up despite how dizzy her head already was. elina dropped the axe and pulled out her trusty sword instead, finding it much easier to work with.

the two engaged in a fight between their weapons, both using different tactics. her father was slow but powerful, the daughter was fluid and unpredictable. elina landed a deep cut in her father's right arm, causing blood to gush out of his wound. her stomach lurched.

her father growled as he looked at his arm. he charged at her, and elina didn't move out of the way in time. the axe dug into her leg, causing her knee to buckle as elina's fingers touched the open wound. elina hissed in pain.

the guards watched both of them as if they were watching a show.

elina ran her father's weaknesses through her head. his blow were strong, but they were slow, which she could use to her advantage. elina darted pass her father, leaving a sharp scar near his hip. she ran up the stairs as quickly as her feet could take her, wincing at the pain at her leg. she knew she had to end the fight as fast as possible.

her father pinned her against the side of the wall, choking elina's throat using his metal arm. elina coughed, her eyes wide with pain and fear. all of a sudden, her father released her as elina's eyes flashed a blue. she quickly scanned her father's posture for any weaknesses. her father had left his right side open.

with a grunt, elina kicked her father's crown jewels, making him groan in pain. she stabbed the butt of her sword to her father right side of his hip, not caring about how hard she had pressed it in. her father growled.

"you're getting better," her father commented. elina stepped back, breathing heavily, but her sword was drawn, mindfully checking her position.

elina snarled. "and you're getting worse." she swung her sword at her father, using the gravitational pull as an extra strength to cut through his leather armor.

the fight went on like that. every time elina made a blow, drago would make one back, and everytime drago injured elina, elina would make it her goal to cause a wound 10 times more painful.

elina jumped towards the ladder of the ship, painfully climbing upwards, ignoring the blood coming from her leg. drago growled and cut the ladder off the sails of the ship, causing elina to cling onto the flag and slide downwards. she used the momentum to land on her father's shoulders and wrapped her legs around his neck into a chokehold.

she flipped him over onto the ground, where she held then held a sword to her throat. she pinned her father's legs down and twisted his arm uncomfortably so with one wrong move, his other arm would be broken.

"going to kill me now, elina?" her father laughed at her, although elina saw the fear in his eyes. somehow it made the experience much better for her.

elina didn't respond to the question. her brown eyes returned back to a sharp, glaring blue. elina watched as his eyes turned wide in shock as her voice turned into something unlike elina's.

"curse you, bludvist," an unfamiliar voice spat from elina's body. "you are a monster, a beast. i never loved you." drago's lips curled into a sneer, prepared to retort, but elina had already slammed the sword onto drago's throat, beheading drago.

all the guards reeled back, retching, but elina didn't say anything. she just stared at her father's dead corpse, and her shoulders sagged as she'd accomplished what she'd been training for. the bloody scar on her leg was the only thing that made her body twitch.

she was not filled with satisfaction or pride as she looked at the dead body of drago bludvist.

and she could've sworn she heard the same voice whisper, thank you, elina.

elina carried herself to the jail cell, locking the door behind her. she used the cobweb as a bandage to stop the blood, and once she was finished with tending to all her wounds, elina leaned her head back against the wall, eyes closed.

she'd done it.

it was time to return to berk.
