Chapter 1: Welcome to my new home

Riah pov:

As we buckled our seat belts, my dad starts driving his Chevrolet. My mom was on the passenger while me and TJ were in the back seat. I got on my phone and saw a bunch of text messages on my phone and on AceBook.(lol Acebook)

"We'll miss you, Riah. Good luck over at Deloris." from Shannon Hasley

"Middleton will miss and so will I." from Josie Willow

'I'll miss you too,' I thought looking throw the messages as I slept through the thee hour trip.

"We're here, kids," my dad said waking us up.

Right now, it was noon when we arrived. We saw our new house. It's a blue house with a white picket fence surrounding it. Inside it was living room when we walked, a big kitchen with a dining room beside it and behind it would be the laundry room. Upstairs, was a bedroom, which me a TJ would share, a bathroom next door, and the master bedroom and bathroom for mom and dad.

" It's huge," I said with amazement.

"Yes it is," TJ said patting my head," let's begin unpacking."

After unpacking our stuff, we sat down at our new living room. We heard a knock on the door and my dad said, "I'll get it."

He opens the door to see a couple with a cake saying "Welcome, new neighbor." They looked so happy when they saw us.

"Welcome new neighbor, to Deloris City, we're the Parker family," the couple said.

"Hello there, we're the Nixon, my name is Raymond, this is my wife Nadia, and my daughter Riah and Tracy, or TJ," my dad said.

"My name is Louise and this is my husband Devon, we have a daughter name Britney," Mrs. Parker said," your daughters can register for school, Britney would be soooo happy."

"That would be a lovely idea," my mom said and my dad nodded.

"We can give you the direction to the school," Mrs. Parker said.

It was 2:25 pm when we arrived at the school. When we got there, we asked the lady at the front office where we can get registered and said to us that we had to head to the principal's office. His office was like my dad's office but with a principal on his name plate

"Good afternoon, my name is Principal Newman, you're principal of Deloris High school," he said," you must be the Nixon family."

My mom nodded and received some papers for her and dad to fill out.

"My name is Riah and this is my older sister Tracy Jean or TJ," I said.

"It's a pleasure to meet you guys," Newman said shaking me and my parents hand.

After my parents finished out registration, Principal Newman grabbed the paper and said "Thank you, your daughters will start going to school tomorrow, in the meantime, I will give you a tour around the school."

"Thank you, goodbye," I said as we headed to my dads Chevrolet and drove home.

That night after dinner, I took a shower and got into my bed.

"Isn't it great, Riah, a new school and some new friends?" TJ asked me.

"Yeah it is," I said. Little did I know, I'm afraid of what people will see me.
