Chapter 3: More than one

Riah's pov

At chemistry class

This is my school life so far:

1 bully
An almost fight
2 new best friends

Wow my life is great. I knew that Noah kid was a stuck up and a pain in a neck. A star quarterback is now my new bully. I felt discouraged, but I knew Britney, TJ, and Daniel were there for me, so I smiled.

Our teacher, Mrs. Jones a middle aged woman, began talking roll to see who was here or not. Once she went to my name, I said, "Here."

"Everyone, this is Riah Nixon" she said with a serious, but friendly tone, "I expect everyone to respect her in this classroom, or they'll be discipline."

Everyone nodded their heads as I sat next to Britney and a girl, with black hair, who glared at me. Britney gave her the "Boo, who you looking at?" glares.

"Can anyone tell me what charge do protons have?" Mrs. Jones asked as I raised my hand, "yes, Ms. Nixon"

"It is positive?" I asked

"That's correct," Mrs. Jones replied.

Britney gave me a thumbs up. I smiled symbolizing a "thank you" to her. Unfortunately, the black haired girl shock a glare.

'Great now I have one bully and a rival,' I thought.

Britney's pov

What's with Laura(talking about the girl) and why is she hating on Riah. I payed attention to Mrs. Jones. I just hope Riah doesn't get hurt and TJ, me, and bun-bun had to kick Noah's butt. Ugh, I hate him and those snarky cheerleaders. No wonder why I broke up with him because he harassed a bunch of students. I miss the cheerleaders last year.

'Oh Riah, please don't hurt yourself ,' I thought.

At lunch

Riah's pov

I got a baked potato(it's my favorite) with cheese and ham. I got some French Fries and some ketchup. I was looking for a table to sit down, but mainly I was looking for Britney, Daniel, and TJ were at. Just then, I heard a "Riah sit here!" from Daniel while the girls waved.

"Thanks for letting me sit here, you guys," I said.

"Yeah, let the fat girl sit there, Daniel!" a loud outburst from, you know who, Noah with the girl from before with a bunch of cheerleader making pig noise and saying," Fatty!"

TJ got annoyed and said," Look who's talking, big mouth!" Britney and Daniel did a "Oooo!"

"I should eat alone," I said getting up and heading outside to eat.

"Wait, Riah," TJ said," thanks a lot, you bozos!" I saw her, Britney, and Daniel come and follow me.

'Noah, you make my life a living hell, and you don't even know,' I thought sitting at a bench eating.

English class

I wanted to put that bullying moment behind me. I was at English class went I sat next to a girl with short hair and glasses reading a "Maximum Ride" manga.

"Cool book," I said to her, "I'm Riah." The girl looked at me with a smile.

"Hey, I'm Daphne Strauss, you're friends with my friends Britney," Daphne said.

We started talking about what we do in our spare time. Talking to her make me feel happy.

"I see that you're making friends with our new girl, Daphne," a female teacher approached to us with a smile.

"Yes, her name is Riah, Mrs. Aston," Daphne said and I nodded.

"I'm sure you'll be having a fabulous time with our class," Mrs. Aston said.

I smiled at her with a nodded. As soon as me and Daphne starting talking, we got interrupted by a blonde boy and a cheerleader yelling "boo" at us aka Noah and Laura.

"Look at the nerd and the fat nerd, Mrs. Aston, Nixon should die," Laura said while Noah making pig noises.

"Mr. Smith and Miss. Staton, I won't tolerate any bullying!" Mrs. Aston scolded at them both with an "Ugh" from them.

I got unease, but I had to put it behind me. He's such a pain in the neck. I can't take this no more. I know hated him and I don't care if he apologizes to me. He and those cheerleaders will bullied me more.

"Class, we'll be talking about analyzing poems and songs and show what they mean," Mrs. Aston said and began talking.

'Gotta put this behind me,' I thought.
