------Percy's POV:-----
"Shit shit shit, this CANNOT be happening" Wally mumbled, holding his head as he laid his head on the table. I could only smile nervously as I patted his back.
"Heeyyy,I mean," I really had nothing to say. This situation was awful. Everything about it. At this point my only key in was the fact that I knew Wally but he'd been catatonic for about 3 minutes just mumbling to himself with a dreadful look on his face. "Yeahhhhhhh" I said, narrowing my eyes in cringe at my terribly nervous tone.
"I mean, I thought-" He said, panic lacing his voice. He suddenly got up looking over at me. "How could you be a villain?! I mean- was everything a lie? Did you know my identity beforehand?!" He asked, practically yelling.
"No!" I said quickly, raising my hands up. "I had no idea until Leo said something outside. Everything that's been said in my normal life has been true and honest, for the most part"
"The most part!" He said, his eyes searching for my own.
"I mean! I couldn't just say "Oh yeah! That group at work was the Joker and they've been making me feel really uncomfy lately so wanna hang out?"!" I exclaimed, stepping back.
Wally slammed his head onto the table, letting out a long groan. "God Percy, this is so bad. Why couldn't your secret have been like you were crazy about cats or like you were obsessed with some weird boy band, not an actual Psycho!"
"Hey! Like I said, I only rob mob bosses and send away abusers. I take care of the tiny stuff!" I said, putting my hands in the air like a gun was being pointed at me. "The only actual criminal thing that I've done has been stealing that diamond and I am doing everything in my power to get it back!" I said, trying my best to convince him.
"Percy, I can't be with a Villain. That goes against everything I stand for, and while you may believe what you've been doing is good, it's not. You don't have the police's recognition to do so and you can't just threaten people and send them off!" He said, standing out of the chair, an exasperated look on his face.
I felt my heart drop and my lips purse slightly as I tried to hide my upsetness. Sure I knew this was coming from the minute I heard his name outside but 10-30 minutes wasn't enough time to prepare yourself.
"I mean come on Percy, what did you expect? Were you planning on hiding this forever and leaving me in the dark? I can admit that I didn't tell you about my Hero life but being a Villain is way different-"
"It's not!" I yelled, throwing my hands in the air. "What you don't see is where I truly am a hero. The people I stopped were mob bosses sure, but I didn't take the money for myself! The money went to the people in the streets, the children that are starving due to their parents who have low income jobs or kick them out. gods Wally, you and your team only help the majority, sure, that's an amazing thing but you can't be selective. You don't know what's really going on. The amount of kids I help."
Wally crossed his arms, stepping back as he stared at me. "Percy-"
"Look. I understand okay? It's over and while, yeah, I'm upset, it's... it's fair. I deserve that. But you have to listen to me about this Joker thing. He's planning something bad and I feel that if you don't listen to me, no matter how hard I try, people will die. I think a common goal of ours is to save the people, right?" I asked, almost begging him to listen.
He looked to the side, using the table to support himself.
"I'm sorry, okay?" I said earnestly. "I'm not asking for your forgiveness, you have the right to be upset. But I am asking you to help me, if any of the time that we spent together meant anything to you then you could at least do me this for me. I have children depending on me to save their dad and I'm not about to let them down. Now I can either help them with your help, under the law like you prefer, or alone, possibly risking the lives of all the city people. I understand that this is a lot and after this I'll move. I'll leave this city and go far away... I know how much you like the building and tenants, I wouldn't take that away from you, but for now, you only have something to gain. I'm the one who has something to lose."
