-------------Percy's POV:-------------

This sequence of events continued for weeks until one morning stretched into an afternoon.

I had been sitting in the kitchen, my cup refilled three times over. I stole a quick glance at the clock to find it was 4 pm. No sign of Wally.

I quickly set down my cup, pushing myself off the counter as I walked to a different counter, grabbing my phone before sending Wally a quick message.

-Hey! Just wanted to check on you. You're a bit later than usual and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried.

-Try and get back to me soon! Love you.

Then I waited. For three more hours I waited. Nothing.

And then panic was setting in. A panic I hadn't felt in a long time.

What do I do when I panic? I go to mom. So I called Ms. O'Leary, and I hitched a ride to my mother's house.

"Mom! Mom!" I called, knocking on his door rapidly. I could hear her hurried footsteps and the door unlocking before it swung open, revealing my worried mother, who with one glance seemed to 10 fold that worry.

"Percy! Percy, Honey, what's wrong? Why're you crying?" I was a bit startled at the question, my hand flying up to my face to reveal, in my panic, I'd started to cry.

This didn't stop me as words started to fly out of my mouth. "Mom, Wally's gone and I don't know where he's at. I'm worried" My mother nodded quickly, placing a hand on my back as she led me inside.

I allowed her to guide me as I was sat on the couch, my mother disappearing into the kitchen momentarily before reappearing with a glass of milk and some cookies.

With that she sat besides me, rubbing circles on my back as I took a shaky bite of the cookie.

"Okay honey, can you explain to me what's happening?" I nodded.

"Yeah, yeah I can. Last night Wally left. His hero-ing often calls him away at awkward hours but he's usually never gone for long, and if he is, he responds to my texts. But now, something feels wrong, he's not back and he's not responding and... mom I don't know what to do" I turned to her with my heart clenching with worry.

She looked at me with a hard to read expression before nodding. "Percy, hon, I feel we both know how this is going to end, so I just want you to be careful." She placed a hand on my shoulder. "I better not hear about your funeral again unless it's coming to me from the underworld's news systems, you hear me?"

I nodded, a smile appearing on my face. I quickly wrapped my mother in a hug, her shoulders a bit tense.

"I love you so much mom. I couldn't have asked for anyone better" She nodded.

"Good cause you're not getting anyone else. I love you as well hon" I let out a small chuckle. "Now go. I'm sure you can find back up in camp half blood. But I'd hurry, unless you're trying to get eaten tonight." I shook my head. Thanking my mother once more before grabbing the plate of cookies and vapor traveling to camp half-blood.

I ignored the urge to look around at the place I once called home as I ran towards the Zeus cabin, hiding my face as I avoided all the campers.

I skillfully managed to avoid everyone as I appeared on the steps of the zeus cabin and with a stiff hand I knocked as hard as I could.

To my relief I heard footsteps approaching.

I stepped back, holding the plate of cookies out in front of me as I waited.

Suddenly the footsteps stopped and in a swift motion I was met with J- Thalia?

I nearly dropped my cookies as Thalia's eyes opened wide. "Per-" I pushed her inside, kicking the door shut as hard as I could before Thalia could say anything else.

I turned back slowly to see Thalia's face blank as she stared at me. I took in a shaky breath.

"Hey Tha-"

"PERCY?" I gave her a sheepish smile as I set down my cookies, preparing for the beating of a lifetime. "You- what-" She looked me up and down, putting her hand out as she poked me in the cheek.

Her eyes somehow widened more as she realized I was actually here. "You're alive!? I nodded a little, forming Jazz hands.

"Surprise?" She put her hands up and I shut my eyes, preparing for the worst but instead of a punch I was met with a tight hug, arms wrapped tightly around me.

"gods Percy... how? I mean...it's been years!" She pulled back looking me over quickly. "And you still look like a human fish stick!" I chuckled, the humorous relief feeling good.

"Oh yeah? Well you still look like a skunk!" She chuckled, rolling her eyes before pulling her arm back and punching me as hard as she could in the shoulder, sending a wave of pain through my arm.

"OW!" I yelled, grabbing my arm quickly. "What was-"

"HOW COULD YOU NOT TELL US YOU WERE ALIVE!?? DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH WE MISSED YOU??" She yelled, looking at me in disbelief.

"Don't worry, I'm starting to get the picture." I mumbled, rubbing my arm to try and get rid of the pain.

"OH YOU'LL SEE IN A-"

"Percy?" I quickly looked behind Thalia to see a confused Jason. He looked between the two of us before settling on me. "What're you doing here?" Thalia's eyes widened in anger but I cut her off my previous dilemma coming front and center.

"Jason, Wally's gone and I can't get a hold of him. I need people to back me up because I have a really bad feeling"

"Okay okay hold it" Thalia cut in before Jason could continue. "First off, you knew she was alive? And second, who is this wally figure?"

I didn't have time for this but if Thalia was anything like she used to be then I knew I'd have to make time.

"Wally's my boyfriend, and he only learned about my existence a few months ago. You can get mad at him later for now I need help. You can come along as well because the more the merrier." Thalia relented, nodding.

"Actually it might just be us." Jason said, walking over to make a small triangle out of the three of us.

"What do you mean?" I asked quickly.

"Everyone else was sent out on missions. The gods have been extra needy lately." I let out a frustrated sigh.

"Right, okay. Are you two down for helping me?" They both looked at each other before speaking.

"Yes," They said simultaneously.

"Great, now let's go" I grabbed the plate of cookies off the floor, handing it to Jason before grabbing both their arms and vapor traveling to the super's cave.
