--------Percy's POV:----------

"Promise to call me everyday?" Mom asked, holding my shoulders tightly as if I would drop dead any second. Her face was stern and her lips tight as she stared me down.

I returned the look with a small smile. "Yes mom, I promise."

"And visits! I expect visits at the least once every two weeks! If not I will be coming down there you understand?"

I nodded, placing a gentle hand on her own, squeezing ever so slightly. "I promise. I've got your number and you have Wally's for reasons that are still unbeknownst to me but you've got it nonetheless. I'll be okay, and I promise, I'm not running off again." Mom gave me a strained smile, pulling me in for a tight hug.

"gods I wish you'd just stay here in New York." I hugged back, a lopsided grin making it's way onto my face.

"I know, but I've got a life in Keystone. I can't just abandon it. I love you okay?" She nodded.

"I love you too hon." She gave me one last tight squeeze before letting me go, pulling me away as she held my shoulders a moment longer before finally releasing me.

"Percyy!!!" Estelle yelled, holding onto my leg tightly as she looked up to me with her big eyes. "I want you to stay!"

My smile faltered slightly as I bent down, picking her up so that we were face to face.

"I can't stay but how about we make a deal, if you ever really need me all you gotta do is say blue cookies, three times SUPER fast and I'll be there faster than Wally, you got it?" She smiled, nodding super fast.

Somehow she pulled herself outta my grip, throwing herself onto my neck as she hugged me tight.

"Promise to visit soon!" I nodded, squeezing her tight as she let out strained giggles. Eventually I set her down and she took a deep breath.

"Alright. I think it's time to go. I'll see you guys in a week or so." Mom nodded, waving. Estelle on the other hand was waving really fast, her hand above her hand as she yelled her goodbyes.

I turned and walked with Wally down the hall, grabbing his hand tight as we turned the corner to the stairs.

"You have lovely parents," Wally said with a smile, turning to me with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

I nodded. "Only the best could put up with me in my youth." He chuckled. We walked out the building in a peaceful silence, hitting the outside with a warm breeze welcoming us. "Maybe we could go to your parents' place soon."

Wally let out a nervous chuckle, scratching the back of his neck. "Ha, maybe, I'd have to warn Auntie Iris not to tell any embarrassing stories."

"Aww but I'd love to hear about young Wally. I'm sure he was a little rascal." I smiled to myself as I could see a light tint of pink on Wally's face.

"You could say that."

We allowed that to be the end of the conversation, walking back to the bus station with small talk happening every few minutes, instead letting the busy noises of New York to surround us.

We arrived at the bus station not long after, buying tickets to a bus that wouldn't be off for another hour or so. We both decided to take a break, grabbing some food before sitting down at a nearby bench in order to enjoy the meal.

"You know, maybe meeting my parents is a good idea. I'm sure Auntie Iris would love you." I smiled, stopping eating my food as I turned to look at Wally who I only now noticed was looking at me with a warm smile.
