Chapter 44

When I woke up I felt some pressure on top of me so when I opened them up I saw a wild child with some crazy looking hair that made me laugh because in some way it reminded me of the days that I would go to the lab early and see a messy haired Tony sleeping. I try to move her but no luck so I try to stay there a bit more time, I look over at my phone and see that I have to get up to get ready for the day.

I get to the kitchen and see that there is no one there so they are most likely still sleeping so I start to make breakfast for myself when my phone rang so I went to grab it to answer it. After some time I was talking on the phone but I didn't realize that 4 people were walking down the hallways but slowed down so they could overhear my conversation.

"Yes I'm sure that I can get everything in the next two months that's why I'm staying here." This perked their ears because they started to think of other scenarios on what this could mean. I still haven't seen or heard them but I signed up the phone and heard Pietro say " What are you guys just doing there standing around?". I turn and see Bucky, Dot, Michelle, and Steve by the entrance to the kitchen where they could easily eavesdrop on my conversation without me even knowing. I roll my eyes at them and I just go back to making my food before greeting Pietro and talking to him .

Third POV

After Y/n and Pietro left the kitchen both Dot and Michelle looked at each other having a silent conversation between the two trying to create a plan to make sure that the boys will still hate Y/n or at most want to stay away from her. They both nodded their heads to start their plan.

"Don't you find it strange that Y/n comes back to the Compound after 5 years and acts like she owns everything here and that she is better than everyone." Dot says to Michelle knowing that Steve and Bucky are paying attention to their conversation while not really knowing that Y/n is Tony's daughter.

"Yea I find it weird because if you think about it she's not really necessary for any Avenger business." Michelle tells Dot but then looks towards the boys. "What do you guys think about her coming back?"

" In my opinion I just stand why she's back. Pepper is retiring and Y/n is Tony's daughter so it's a pretty good Area to come back plus she seems closer to Morgan than anyone else here in the Compound." Steve said a bit defensive trying to protect Y/n without giving it a second thought.

" But how can you be sure that she is? What if she's lying to everyone just because she's up to something?" Bucky questioned Steve.

"Bucky has a good point because what if she's just playing the long game, let's think about it. You guys said that Tony and her knew from the start what they were to each other and now time skip a couple years she now is CEO and owns a good part of Stark Industries." Dot tells the boys trying harder to convince them that Y/n is up to no good.

At this point Bucky was more convinced on what Dot and Michelle have been saying about the real reason why Y/n came back while Steve wasn't but was more confused on what might be the real reason. All of them got quiet when they heard footsteps coming towards the kitchen knowing this could cause the others to get mad for them to think badly of Y/n so they knew they had to stop.

"Why is it so sad and quiet here, usually all of you are talkative so what's up?" Sam asked Steve and Bucky but they both turned to each other and shrugged their shoulders not knowing how to respond to Sam. "Well are we still going to go on our run like we always do or are two guys just going to stand there doing nothing and looking at the lost puppies.?" Sam questioned them.

After they left and both Dot and Michelle did as well everyone turned to each other wondering what might have happened before they came in that made them be quiet for no reason. On the other hand both Nat and Wanda had an idea of what might have happened since they have been acting a lot weirder than usual since Y/n came back and they left the office that day.
