Chapter 42

5 Years Later

Third Point of View

"Mrs Potts, Mr. Stark? They are ready for the both of you in conference room number 3."

"Do you know where our daughter might be?" Pepper asks her assistant.

" I believe she is with Mr. Happy eating cheeseburgers and fries. Would you like for me to get her?" Both Pepper and Tony shook their heads knowing that once she was finished eating she would join them so they started to head to their conference. They also know that today is an important day for them and for everyone around them so they even told the team to come for support and they were happy to come but even they didn't know what's going on.

Meanwhile

The team backstage where the press could see them but they are waiting on Tony and Pepper to come downstairs to tell the news that they have been hiding for some time now.

" Does anyone know why we're here? And for how long , because I'm hungry and I don't want to be here." Pietro says as he throws his head back into the couch he has sitting on and messes with his suit.

" When aren't you hungry Pietro because everytime I see you, you're always eating something so stop being dramatic" Wanda tells her older brother as she hits him on the leg and goes back to talking to Nat and Vision.

"Also stop messing with your suit because I already helped you once and I don't help you again if you mess up your tie, kid." Clint tells Pietro as Pietro rolls his eyes. " Well next time I won't ask for your help old man" he tells Clint as he sticks his tongue out and the others roll their eyes at Pietro.

Pepper and Tony come down and ask the team to come onto the stage with them. They started to talk about the upcoming projects that Stark Industries is going to be working on for the upcoming future while responding to questions but that confused the team even more because usually they aren't needed for this kinda stuff.

Until it came to the middle part of the presentation which was the most important part of everything. "Before we can start, my husband and I would like to thank everyone that came today to hear us. But that isn't the reason why everyone is hurting today because we have some more bigger news to tell you guys that will impact the future of Stark Industries." Pepper says into the microphone.

" As former CEO of Stark Industries I would like to present the new official CEO of Stark Industries, Y/N Y/L. ''The team stood there in shock, some of them confused on why Y/N would even become CEO while others were just shocked. " My wife and I had talked about this for a long time and we decided together this would be the best choice because we know we are giving this job to the right person and to allow us to have more time as a family like we always wanted away from anything stressful."

That's when every reporter stood up and started to ask their own questions, not letting each other speak one at a time so their own question would be answered first. Pepper and Tony were able to calm down the reports and allow them to ask their own question  while most of them were the same but worded differently, but no one asked the important questions until one of them did.

"Why are you giving Ms.Y/l the company if she isn't someone that is important?'' The female reported that look familiar after being told she could ask.

Before Tony or Pepper could even respond a door opened and everyone got quiet to see who was coming, they all recognised her so when she stepped up to the podium she hugs both Tony and Pepper before allowing them to keep going.

"The reason that Ms. Y/l is going to be the next CEO is because we trust her and because she is a Stark. She's my daughter. Have a nice day." Tony tells them before heading out with Y/n and Pepper at their side and the team behind them as well all but Wanda, Nat, Rhodey shock.

They all got to Pepper's now former office when they all started to ask questions all together not allowing either Pepper, Tony or Y/n to answer their questions until Y/n yelled. " SHUT UP YOU BIG BABIES and come say hi to me. One question at a time and I will answer anything you guys want" She exclaimed to the team causing everyone to stop and look at her until Pietro rushed over and gave her a bone crushing hug .

Sam was the first one to say " Okay so first question. Since when did you know he was your father? Second question is ''why didn't you tell me?"

I looked at Tony and nodded his head to tell me that I can say whatever I want to the team. " I knew that Tony was my father for about 8 years now, like three or four months after I came to the Compound. Sorry Sam but I couldn't tell you because Tony and I decided that it would be best if no one knew and let's be honest you're not a good secret keeper." Sam made a face that everyone laughed at except Steve and Bucky who seemed pissed.

Clint was the next one to ask the question that the rest of the team was itching to ask. " From the look on Nat, Rhodey, and Wanda it seemed like they already knew so since when do they know and why them?"

Y/n took a deep breath before answering Clint. " Rhodey was the first to know even before Tony because he recognized my last name which was the same as my mother who he knew that dated Tony when they were in college together. Wanda was the second one to find out when she also thought that I was cheating on Steve and Bucky a couple months after we got together but I explained everything to her. And lastly Nat found out Tony accidentally exposed why he truly cared for me and why he didn't want me to leave the Compound."

Y/n kept answering their questions and for those that she hasn't seen in years they told them about her new life. "Okay I answered all your guys questions about me being Tony's secret daughter and my new life. So anything else that you want to ask? No? But I will let you know that I already have met Morgan because come on do you really think they would allow you to babysit her or me who is more mature than most of you."

They were all going to start arguing about how they are more mature and how some of them have more experience taking care of a child when the office door opens to a giggling little 5 year old. She went up to her parents to say hi and didn't notice her big sister that was by the office window until she said, "What am I? Chopped liver? Come on Morgana."

That made the little 5 year old ask her mom to put her down and ran to her big sister that she admired too much and told each other how they missed each other causing the team to be in awe. When everyone made an awe sound it caused worry to the little Stark and told her older sister, " Oh no sissy, you need to hide before they know that you are here. Come on let's hide underneath mommy's desk"

She tries to get down from her sister's arms and tries to pull her towards the desk before getting stopped by her father who grabbed her and kissed her cheeks to tell her. "Don't worry they already know that sissy is your sister and that I'm her daddy, Okay? "

"So no more hiding?" She tells him with the best puppy eye look that she could give him knowing he can't resist her look and just shocked by his heading letting her know that they don't need to hide anyone.

Whenever Y/n would visit Tony, Pepper and Morgan sometimes the team would pop in without notice so instead of explaining it to them they would make Y/n and because Morgan thought it was fun she would always go with her big sister so they made a game out of it. They didn't have to tell Morgan a bunch of time because she understood rather quickly and didn't question why but instead enjoyed spending time with her older sister since it is hard for them to spend time with each other most of the time.

After they all heard everything that either Tony, Pepper or Y/n had to say both Steve and Bucky stayed quiet and left the office angry and annoyed from what they heard today. All this information made them feel like they had lied their entire relationship with Y/n and were upset for not figuring it out sooner than later .

Everyone got quiet wondering why the left but some of them were able to connect the dots on why they so angry while the other think that they don't get the right to be angry.They all kept talking to each other and trying to entertain Morgan until they all got hungry and decided to go out to dinner to celebrate the return of their friend and her life

Y/n enjoy being able to hangout with the team since she wasn't able to before she left and enjoyed not having to worry about any drama because she knows that is all in the past. She is happy that everything is falling into its right place because she feels that she doesn't have to worry about how her life is constantly giving her big turns that sometimes make it hard for her to get back on track. After a while when they finished eating dinner they all went on their way back home.
