Y/n's POV
Over the past month I have been busy with meeting people or companies that I had to do that wanted to meet me or I had to meet with people that just wanted to meet the new star. Now I understand why dad hated being CEO and handed it to Pepper knowing that she would do a great job but me on the other hand is already tired of going to meetings and the paperwork that comes with meeting them.
The only times that I had to myself was when I went to train, eat and when I go to sleep which I feel bad because I want to hang out with the team because some of them I haven't seen in 5 years and I just want to spend time with them but I can't. I think that dad noticed that everyone was stressed or just drained so he decided that we needed a weekend off and rented a big cabin in the middle of the forest.
Since it's fall and it's getting colder I decided to pack more warm clothes than anything else. I also packed a hoodie and a leather jacket that I borrowed from Alex without asking. I finished packing so I headed down to the garage to see everyone already there who were waiting for me with their stuff already inside the car that is big enough for everyone.
"What took you so long." Pietro asked me as I sat next to him in the back row.
"Well Pietro let me tell you something. I like that you don't have superspeed to just zip and zap to wherever I want so I will take my time so I don't forget anything." I tell him so much sarcasm.
"Shesh, you don't have to be that mean for no reason you know that right. Plush where did you get that leather jacket because from the looks of it you look like it's going to swallow you up." As Pietro said, it caught the attention of everyone that doesn't know what happened in the last couple years but mostly two super soldiers.
"It's not your business where I got the jacket because I borrowed it and the person hasn't noticed, so it's mine until then" I tell him with a big smile on my face.
In a whisper tone but in reality in a loud whisper yell Pietro and got close to me and ask " you aren't that stupid enought to take one of the dinasour's things without them knowing because that would be even dumb for you to do.?" " OW". he yelled as I smacked him very hard and gave him a mild burn for saying that.
I shake my head and tell him "1. I think you are the one with no brain between the two of us, 2. It's not theirs but someone else's, 3. Can you be any louder? Like really Pietro because I think everyone knows who you are talking about." I point with my head toward Steve and Buckys who are pretending not to be eavesdropping but are clenching their jaws.
After that everyone was either sleeping, on their phones, or even talking to the person next to them while I was on my phone and looking out the window. Our drive was halfway over when out of nowhere my phone started to get spammed with text messages from Alex but I was able to respond to him when he started to call me.
"Hey I can't talk right now I'm in the car right now." I tell him
"You aren't driving right because if so you know not to answer the phone. You know that I don't like when you do that because I want you to be as safe as possible -" I interpret him before he can start to ramble.
"Hold up, take a deep breath for me." I wait a bit until I hear him exhale. " Don't worry I'm not driving. Dad decided that we were going to take a small getaway from everything."
"Oh okay, how long will it be? Because I miss you and I want to spend time with you." I tell myself sweetly.
"Awe that's so nice of you but it's just for the weekend so we could probably meet up next Thursday and have a nice chat over what has been going on for the last past month?" I asked him while looking over at the inside of the car to see who was what, most of them were doing the same thing but not all and just like before Bucky, Steve, Dot, Michelle were paying attention to my conversation. They all say that I was turning my head so they tried to look away quickly but I knew what they were doing.
I did also see that Dot and Michelle were giving a 'I told you so' look to both Bucky and Steve but I just shocked my head and went back to my conversation with Alex before hanging up and putting on some music so I could fall asleep. As I tried to fall asleep I kept thinking 'is my personal life that interesting that they care what the hell is going on? Or are they just noisy and want to be busy for no reason? Plus why do they care so much now about what I'm doing or not? Could they be doing it out of jealousy? Yea I don't think so.' I just chuckled to myself thinking that either Bucky or Steve might be jealous because they don't have any reason to be.
From the looks of it seems like they are in a relationship, Steve and Michelle while Bucky and Dot, and I'm just me doing everything to stay away from them to not cause any problem but from the weird tension that there is something is going to blow up. And Soon. Plus they don't have a reason to be because they made their choice and I made mine by moving on trying not to feel anything for them like I used to.
When I woke up we were in front of the cabin that dad bought or rented for us. I looked around to see that everyone was sleeping and the only one that was awake was Happy and May who were talking. Once we all got out and grabbed our things we headed inside while dad told us who was sleeping with who and what room they were getting. I was lucky enough to get a room for myself but knowing too well either one of the girls is going to crash with me or Pietro or even Morgan but I bet it will be Morgan.
We all went to sit in the large kitchen to have an early dinner since everyone was hungry and most of us just ate breakfast and any snack they brought for the car.
"So Y/n who were you talking on the phone earlier?" Dad asked, being protective while Pepper just elbows him.
Before I could answer how both Pietro, Peter and Sam yelled in a singing voice " Y/n/nnnnn has a boyfriend." I just look at them in shock at how they all said it at the same time and in the same tone which never happens. But then I was interrupted by Morgan this time and says " Sissy doesn't have a boyfriend" and just stops causing me to be embarrassed and turn red while the boys are trying to keep themselves from giggling. " Sissy married and I got to be the flower girl." Morgan said so proudly while shocking everyone except Rhodey, Nat, Wanda, Pepper and dad.
"Honey you don't know what you are talking about, Y/n's not married remember that was a dream, okay?" Pepper tried to convince Morgan it was fake but Morgan just shook her head in disagreement.
" No it wasn't a dream because I remember being bored and wanting to play with sissy but you said no and then we ate cake." I was trying to sink into my chair trying to disappear but it wasn't working at all. I think at that point Pepper just stopped trying to convince Morgan it was a dream because everyone can easily tell that she wasn't lying and was telling the truth.
That's when all the questions started from Pietro, Peter, Sam, Clint, Scott. "Wandering why I didn't invite you? Who is the lucky man? Where was it?' and among other things . I just stopped them from asking me questions and told them "Can I please keep private things private?" and they all agreed so they just dropped it.
I then over to one of the couch and went on my phone to see any notifications that aren't work related but more interesting so I answer some of the messages from the X-men and other friends that I haven't seen that work in SHIELD. That's when Nat and Wanda come over and we start to talk about their missions and anything that I haven't heard since I have been busy .
" We didn't realize that you haven't told anyone that you're married, why?" Nat askes me.
"It's that if I told them then someone like Sam would gossip about it to Steve and Bucky that could cause unnecessary drama that I don't want to deal with. Also if they found out who I am married to they would probably cause a big fight between all three of us that I just don't want to deal with and I know it's not worth it but they won't see it like that." I tell both of them.
"Could it be because you still love them and don't want to hurt them when they find out who it is because when they looked hurt when they found out you were married they really looked like sad puppies that were kicked." Wanda tells me and I look in her eyes to see if there is any way that she might be lying to me but I don't see anything.
" To be honest it doesn't really matter if they're hurt or not , I don't love them like I used to do because what they did hurt me more than I ever thought so if they have any problems they can go and deal with it . But they have to leave me out of it because I don't think that I can survive again if they treat me like they treated me in the past." I told them as I looked away and hugged a running Morgan while giving her my attention. Meanwhile Wanda and Nat looked at each other knowing that they should drop the topic and how I made the right choice in moving on with Steve and Bucky because it hurt too much .
