Chapter 23

KEN POV

It's been a month now since I was grounded. I am honestly so happy it's over, it was probably the worst month I have ever lived. It's noon and I just wake up. I rub my eyes and grab my phone. I take a quick look at it and see that I got a new text message. It's from hayes, "Hey, well sorry about the other night, it was a little awkward...do you think we could have a redo? Tonight? Movie? I can pick you up at 7:)" I smile at my phone and reply. "sure:) what movie?" I try to sound nice, but I just don't want it to be a dumb zombie movie or something. A few minutes later, I get a reply, "whatever you want, I was thinking maybe grown ups 3?" (yes this movie is out XD lol) I mean it's not a too bad of a choice.... I was just thinking a romance or something. I start typing "sure 7? I'll be ready:)" He responds right away, "Okay, see you then:)" I turn off my phone and hop out of bed. I walk into my bathroom and wash my face and change into my clothes for the day. It's cold so I grab a pair of leggings and a flannel. I put my makeup on and run downstairs. I couldn't help but the whole time I had a smile on my face. I sit down at the table and pour a bowl of cereal. My mom walks in and her eyes widen, "Someone's in a good mood." she smiles. "Yea, I mean I guess." I reply while eating my cereal. "hmmmm I don't think I should ask" she says while walking out of the room and starts walking upstairs. I hear a ding and look at my phone. Uh-oh, its Cam. "Hey do you want to hangout today:)" No offense but that was the most cheesiest text Ive ever gotten from a guy... "what time?" I reply. "around 5?" I have to be ready for hayes, but wouldn't 2 hours be enough time? Its just a date, not a dinner date. "Sure until what time? I can do about an hour. 6?" I say. He replies, "yea okay. Meet me at the park." I turn my phone off and continue my day.
