Alastor, Vaggie, and Angel scouted every room of the museum discreetly, making sure that no civilians were around. There weren't any and when they reached the last room in the building they correctly deduced that whatever caused the disturbance was in that room.
"Angel you're up." Vaggie said.
Demons of the spider clan were among the strongest to sensitivity. They could cleverly decipher what something was based on the sound and touch of waves caused my motion, no matter how faint. Angel carefully placed his hands and his ear against the doors, listening and feeling the vibrations from within.
"What have we got?" Vaggie asked.
"Behind this door is a dark entity." Angel said. "Ancient, evil, and hungry."
"Hungry?"
"Uh-huh and Al your better take your pills before going in there because I think there's a lot blood on that floor."
Alastor quickly popped one of the red tablets into his mouth which he then swallowed down in one gulp.
"Well I better go in and say hi now." Alastor said loading his gun. "We wouldn't want to keep our guest waiting."
The bullets they used were made from resources which throughout history, had properties that could weaken and/or destroy any creature from the world of the paranormal. Resources such as silver, white oak, holy water, vervain, casting stones, ect. With bullets such as these, it wouldn't take them too long to exterminate their target.
Alastor slowly opened the doors and he along with his comrades, crept inside the exhibit. How fitting it was for Alastor to be in this particular exhibit for it explained the history of the religion known as Christianity. Photographs of Jerusalem, replicas of mosaics that were displayed in ancient churches, crucifixes, and Renaissance style paintings of Christ, Satan, angels, devils, Heaven, Hell, and of course Lucifer and Beelzebub. When Alastor saw the depiction of his so-called father, he kept his ever present smile but his eyes briefly burned with hatred.
Eventually the discovered a part of the exhibit which had been wrecked. A display case ruined, this evident by the broken glass scattered everywhere and whatever had been left on that display was now gone. They figured it most likely another edition of the bible or perhaps some other form of scripture. The group didn't dwell on what it could possibly be for long though because their attention was soon drawn to the stains of blood and saliva that marked the floors.
"Eww!" Vaggie gagged at the sight. "What the hell could have done all this?"
She was given an answer a loud screech broke through the tense silence. Something dropped down before them. Something large, scaly, obese, yet slimy, and dead-eyed. It almost looked like a cross between a frog and a lizard. Blood was on it's talons and it's mouth, and it coughed up something. A ring of keys and a uniform which no doubt had belonged to the security guards it devoured.
"Hello ugly." Angel said.
"What is that?" Vaggie said.
"Who cares? Just shoot it!"
They open fired at that creature, causing it to hiss and responded by knocking them hard against the wall with it's tail.
"Now that wasn't very nice." Alastor tsked as he stood up.
He pulled some sand from his pocket which had been made from crushed silver then threw it into the monster's eyes blinding it. The group fired more shots which did a good number of damage but not enough to weaken the atrocity. When it managed to shake off the effects of the dust, It stuck it's long tongue which to stuck to Angel and pulled him right into it's mouth, swallowing him.
