"You two feeling okay?" Angel asked after noticing the confused and somewhat troubled looks on Alastor and Charlie's faces.
"Yeah we're fine." Charlie said pulling her sleeve back over her shoulder.
"Are you sure?" Vaggie asked Charlie upon seeing how worried and puzzled she looked.
"Yes. I just felt a little pinch, that's all."
"In that case, can we get off this roof?" Vaggie asked. "I've got a bad feeling that if we don't move quickly, something bad is going to happen."
"Oh Vaggie, you and your paranoia." Angel said. "I already told you, with that gecko demon on the loose, there's no way the cops will discover us up here. We're perfectly safe and hidden."
But Angel spoke too soon. On cue, a spotlight from a police helicopter was shining down on the four of them.
"You were saying." Vaggie glared at Angel.
"Don't move! You four are under arrest!" They heard one of the police men announce with a megaphone.
"Under arrest? For what?!" Angel called.
"Suspicious activity!"
"You can't arrest us for that!" Alastor said. "You don't even have proof that we've committed a crime!"
"All of you put your hands up!" The officer continued, ignoring Alastor's words. "Make one move and we'll open fire!"
Suddenly a small sphere rolled out on to that roof, it popped and released a thick fog that no one would be able to see through. Unless of course you had supernatural senses.
"Scatter!" Alastor said before scooping Charlie up into his arms again.
He jumped down from side of the building while Vaggie and Angel jumped down from the other side. Gun shots were being fired and they could hear police sirens all around. Alastor and Charlie managed to ditch the police by hiding in the shadows but one patrol car went after Angel and Vaggie. The fog made it difficult for them to see them but the flashing lights of the siren made it possible for their shadows to be seen. The two of them ran down an alley which was too narrow for the car go down but one policeman came out of the vehicle and chased them.
Vaggie and Angel were both fast but any chance they had at out running the man was halted when they came upon a locked fence.
"Damn! A dead end!" Vaggie cursed.
"Maybe we could climb it." Angel suggested.
But they could hear the policeman's footsteps getting closer. There was no way they'd be able to climb all the way up and over the fence in time.
"Oh shit! Here he comes! What do we do?" Angel cried in a panic.
This was bad. Very, very bad. If they ended up caught by the police they would be screwed big time. Shipped off to government facilities, locked up in cages, dissected and experimented on like a lab rat. It was a fate worse than death. Vaggie started to think fast, her eyes scanned the area for anything she could possibly use to save their asses. All she could see were some trash cans and a broken down old car that had probably been left here to rot by some irresponsible teenager. That's when she got an idea.
She broke the car window with a rock and opened the door from inside.
"Vaggie, what are you doing?" Angel asked her.
