Despite his severe injuries, Striker managed to escape. However, Fizzarolli was too traumatized to move and was subsequently captured and taken for recovery. Meanwhile, Angel also had to head to the infirmary but he only sustained some bruises, a couple cuts, and a fractured rib. All of which would heal easily especially considering his body was supernaturally advanced compared to a human's. But Fizzarolli's healing would take more time. The carnage he had experienced had left both his body and brain broken to such an extreme state. he just laid there with eyes wide open, staring into nothingness.

"Poor fellow." Solomon said, shaking his head. "Criminal demon or not, he doesn't deserve this."

"Will he be alright, though?" Blitzo asked.

"I can't say for certain." Moxxie said. "With proper care, his injuries may heal within a few months, a year at most but his psyche, that's a much more complex and unpredictable matter. We'll do all that we can for him, but there's a chance he might be mentally gone for good."

"I can't accept that." Blitzo said.

"Blitzo." Solomon said.

"He has to get better! He just has to!"

"We understand-"

"No you don't understand! He's not like the others! He's not some sadistic psychopath! Okay?! He's just some confused kid who got involved with the wrong crowd! He probably only joined up with those freaks because there was no one left to give a damn about him!"

"This isn't a matter of choice Blitzo. Make no mistake, we have every intention of saving him. But if it is God's will that he should-"

"Don't talk to me about God's will! Don't talk to me about that crap! What good is his will?!"

"Now that's enough!" Solomon said. "You are free to have whatever feelings or beliefs about the Lord that you wish, but I will not allow you to verbally disrespect him under my roof."

Blitzo clenched his fists, frustration boiling within him.

"I'm not trying to disrespect anyone, Solomon! I just... I can't stand the thought of losing him. He's been through so much already. He deserves a chance to heal, to find some kind of peace."

"You're right." Solomon said. "And the lord will grant him healing and peace. But it might not be in the way you want him to. However it will be in what is best for that poor soul. Try to remember that."

Blitzo took a deep breath, trying to rein in his emotions. The weight of Solomon's words hung heavy in the air, and he felt torn between hope and despair.

"I'm going to look in on Angel now." Solomon said. "But if any of you need me, just call and I'll be there."

Moxxie nodded, and Solomon left. Blitzo looked up at Fizzarolli's broken form feeling his great frustration turn into an even greater rage.

"You know whose fault this really is?" He said.

"Who's?" Moxxie said.

"Alastor's."

"What?"

"Alastor's." Blitzo repeated, his voice low and filled with a simmering anger. "He let this happen. He let himself lose control, and now look at Fizzarolli. Look at what he's become because of that monster!"

"That's not fair! Striker poured his pills down the drain! He couldn't help himself!"

"But he could have helped going after Valentino without back up, couldn't he?! He and Angel's stunt are the whole reason this happened!"

"They made a mistake!"

"Why do you keep excusing them?"

"I'm not! But Blitzo, we've known them since they were boys! You know they're not cold-blooded killers! You know that Alastor would never go this far on purpose!"
