Months later
Alexis pov
It's been about months since the whole incident with me and Deshae. We haven't spoken but I finally got in touch with Desmond. We're not together but he tried really hard to win me back. I just don't know if I can get those feelings i had for him back. He just left me. I got out the bed and put on some leggings, a blue and white nike shirt and my blue uggs to match. I wore my hair in a neat ponytail and grabbed my phone and bag to leave out for school. Senior year had been good and now it's almost over .When the bus pulled up to the school, I stood in the lobby scrolling through my phone and not paying attention to anything or anyone around me. "Hey" I heard a familiar voice say. Rico. "Hey" I said smiling awkwardly. "So wassup?" He said holding on to the straps of his backpack. "Nothing much. Where you been?" I said putting my attention back to my phone. "Chillin" he said smiling a little. I nodded a little and returned a small smile. "When we gonna chill again?" He said licking his lips. I guess he was still the same player I knew last year. "No funny business Rico" I said laughing a little. Just then the bell rang. "I'll see you later" I said brushing past him. "Alexis" he said pulling me back. "Can we chill today? I just wanna start over with us. No funny business" he said holding up his hands. "Ok" I said smiling then walking back off to class. I never really got to try a relationship with Rico so we'll see how it goes this time.
"Alright class we have about 2 weeks left and some work to go with it. Take out your textbooks and open to page 629" my science teacher said to me. He was always giving us book work. I always did half then got on my phone.
"Mane Mr. jones we ain't about to do this. We about to graduate and you giving out work. Foh" the boy Antoine behind me said causing the class to bust out laughing and agree with him.
"Antoine, does it look like I give a damn? Get that work done & I want it by the end of the class" he said standing in front of us with his hands on his hips. Mr Jones always cussed at us so we were used to it. Antoine got up with his stuff and left the class slamming the door. "Anyone else wanna follow him? No? Okay." Mr Jones said walking back to his desk. I sighed and did my usual half of work then got on my phone.
Nick pov
"Thanks ma" I said dropping off Nolen to her so I could take Tamia out for dinner. Ever since that night with her , everything changed. In a good way. We been expressing how we felt to each other a lot more and we been spending a lot of time together with Nolen. Having my own little family is the best thing ever. It feels like I'm grown and I have to be in charge and protect them against everything. I took her to this seafood restaurant since she likes stuff like that. I drove to her house and knocked on the door to reveal her wearing a black and white maxi dress that flared out a little at the bottom and showed some of her cleavage. She had on some silver jewelry to compliment it all and some white red bottoms. Her hair was in tight curls and she topped it with her favorite red lipstick. My baby looked gorgeous.
"You look beautiful babe" I said grabbing her hand and kissing it then leading her to the car.
Deshae pov
So me and August are back to normal and I couldn't be happier. He's here for me when I need him and he gives me everything. I just can't wait to have this baby. I've been in a lot of pain. I'm not sure of this is normal but I have been resting a lot. August has been telling me to go to the hospital and everything but I just haven't been able to get up and go. He's more concerned than I am about this but I think I'll be fine. He's at work today so I have my mom taking care of me. She likes August so there wasn't much to say besides "I'm too young to be pregnant". But this is my life and I have to deal with it. Not her.
"Hey sweetie how you feeling?" She said coming into the room.
"I'm fine right now. Just thirsty" I said sitting up holding my belly"
"Okay be careful I'll be back" she said sitting down her purse and going down the stairs.
Later that night
"Aye babe, what you think about going on a lil vacation wit me?" August said eating a sandwich. I didn't expect that at all. My eyes grew big and I sat there speechless for a little bit. "Yes? No? What?" He said snapping me from my thoughts.
"I would love to Aug" I said then kissing him on his lips. I've never been on vacation or anywhere far with any of my boyfriends so this was special to me in a way.
"Just me, you & the baby" he said smiling hard. I laughed at his cute smile and rubbed my stomach. I think this will be a good chance to dig deeper into Augusts life and past.
We watched tv and came up with a few baby boy and girl names until August drifted off from me rubbing my hands through his curls. I slid from under his big head and I went to snuggle with my mom downstairs. She stayed with us tonight just because of the pains I've been having.
"Hey mom, you awake?" I said creeping around the corner.
"Yeah baby. What's wrong?" She said close to a whisper and sitting up. I sat next to her and told her about the trip. "You sure you wanna go? I don't need you in pain and then your trip is spoiled." She said raising an eyebrow. August didn't tell me where we were going but I'm sure I'll like it and have fun.
"I'll be fine ma. I promise" I said kissing her cheek then standing back up to go upstairs. But not until I stuffed my face. It was almost 1:00 & the pains started coming back but not as severe as they usually are. I got up and paced around for a little bit being careful not to wake up August. When the pain eased up I got in the bed and layed on my back looking up at the ceiling.
"You ard bae?" August said causing me to jump a little.
"I'm fine babe" I said closing my eyes. We both fell asleep not too long after and I slept peacefully.
Vacation day- August pov
So I decided to take Deshae to myrtle beach just to relax and be alone.
"Shae , you almost done?!" I yelled into the bathroom. This girl takes the longest showers. I had my 2 bags packed and now I just needed to hop in the shower and wait for Deshae to do all her packing and extra stuff. "Bout damn time" I said to her as she walked out tucking in her towel.
"Hush up" she said smacking my butt.
"You know I hate that yo. Start packing" I said walking into the bathroom with her laughing behind me. This girl annoying as hell right now. I got in the shower and cleaned myself real good and washed my hair. It only took me like 10 minutes. I got out and brushed my teeth and all that goodness then went into the room and seen Deshae laid across the bed sleep with her head resting on one of her bags. At least she was ready... I hope. I lightly tapped her to see if she was done and she said she was so I got dressed. After getting her cranky ass up, we were off to the beach.
"Ooooo baby can I get some cotton candy pleaseee ?!" Deshae squealed holding onto my arm.
"Yeah babe when we done putting our stuff up" I said clearing my suitcase. This girl can eat. We just ate on our way here and she had ice cream a second ago. My phone rang and I seen it was Desmond calling me on FaceTime. I wouldn't answer, but he ain't do shit to me.
"Wassup youngin?" I said after accepting the call.
"Man not a damn thing. Chillin fr. How you and Shae?" He said. I looked to see her unpacking then stepped outside.
"We good. I took her to myrtle beach wit me just so we can spend some time together and all that. You know she pregnant?" I said.
"I ain't know man. Congratulations" he said nodding in respect.
"Thanks man I appreciate it. Wassup wit you and Alexis tho?" I asked. After I asked that, this bad girl walked past in a blue two piece swimsuit. She had curves in all the right places and her hair was long and jet black. Desmond was talking but I ain't hear nothing but the girl booty clapping. She turned around and smiled at me and I told Desmond I would call him back. I watched her a little more and she walked over.
"Wassup, I'm Kiya" she said smiling and holding out her hand.
"Wassup. I'm August. You look young as hell."
"I'm 20. You was grillin me hard for me to look young" she said laughing.
"My bad. You just beautiful that's all." She had chinky, green eyes. She had to be mixed or something.
"Thank you. You not too bad yourself." She said admiring me. I guess one of her friends seen her and called her and as soon as she turned around I took another look at her butt. "Well here's my number August. Maybe we can talk later." She said winking and walking off with her friends. What did I just get myself into. I went back in and got Deshae to take her to get her cotton candy and we just chilled on the beach for a little until she was ready to go. We got airbrush tattoos and t-shirts made then walked on the boardwalk for awhile before heading back to the hotel to chill.
"Aug I just wanna say thank you for bringing me on this vacation with you." She said with her head on my lap.
"No problem babe. I gotchu" I said kissing her hand.
