Alexis pov
So its 8:00 pm & I havent heard from Desmond all day. I understand hes pissed at me but this is really not gonna help us. I tried calling him but it went straight to voicemail. I just sighed and got up to take a quick shower. When I got out, I heard the doorbell ring. I dried off and put my robe on then ran downstairs to look out the peephole. Shit!! It was Rico. I ran my hands through my hair trying to calm myself down. I opened the door and there he was, smiling. That smile could break hearts. "Hey" he said. "Hi" i said smiling a little. "Sorry for not asking but I just needed to clear something up. Ill stay right here if you need me to" he said all at once. "No... no its fine. Come on in." I said holding my arm out to let him in. "Thanks" he said smiling again. Lawd. We sat down on the couch and he started playing with his hands like he did last time. He cleared his throat, "So uhm, yesterday...what was that?" He said looking me right in my eyes. I looked away and sat back on the couch. "I dont know. A kiss I guess" I said. He smiled again then looked down. "I just wanna know where we stand" he said interlocking his hands. "Well Rico, we just started talking and you know things arent going so great for me. We're friends for now. We just got caught in the moment for a second" I said playing with my hair. Just then my phone rang and it was Desmond. "Uhm I gotta take this. Ill be right back" I said getting up and walking upstairs. I smiled because I was happy he was calling even though I know its gonna be an emotional conversation. "Hello?" I said. "Can I come and talk to you?" He asked. "Uhm sure." I said getting a little scared because Rico was still downstairs. I put the phone on speaker and threw on some clothes so he wouldnt suspect anything. When we got off the phone, I ran downstairs and told Rico what had happened. He was getting ready to leave but I told him to stay and help me. He agreed and we waited for Desmond to come.
Tamia pov
Nick was at work so I had no choice but to go home and just chill. I grabbed my hookah pen and puffed away. The lights were dimmed and I had the pink print playing softly. I laid back and relaxed. I grabbed my phone and uploaded a video to instagram. I scrolled down and seen a picture of Bria then my eyes went straight to the comments. I seen Tavin telling her how he had a crush on her for the longest time. My mouth completely dropped. I texted Deshae to tell her the news but I forgot Alexis told me she was on a date so I waited for her to respond. I got back on and seen that she gave him her number and I just shook my head. I know Deshae gonna be so upset but I hope August can change her mind about Tavin. I know what she thinks of him but I need her to focus on whats happening in her life right now. I threw my phone next to me and got up to go make some spaghetti. My mom had just came in when I walked into the kitchen. "What you making?" She said sitting her purse down and walking up to me. "Spaghetti" I said. She nodded and went to the fridge. I stirred the sauce and let it warm up a bit. While I waited I ran back upstairs to grab my phone and I seen I had a text from Nick and Alexis. Nick was telling me he was off from work and needed a massage. "Come over babe" I responded then went to Alexis' s message. She was telling me about the whole Tavin and Bria conversation. "Girl I know Deshae is gonna have a fit" I responded to her. "Tamiaa" my mom called me downstairs. I threw my phone back down and went downstairs. "You gotta watch the spaghetti Mia unless you want me to do it." She said. I stirred the sauce and started adding the other ingredients.
When the spaghetti was done, Nick was knocking on the door. My mom opened it and they greeted each other while I put the garlic bread in the oven. I felt Nick behind me and I turned around and gave him a kiss. "Hey poo" I said turning back around to put the timer on.
Deshae pov
"Omg are you serious?!" I said as August told me he could sing and had an ep out. He had taken me to this big fancy restaurant and made sure we were the only ones there. "Sing for me" I said sipping my strawberry mango lemonade. He smiled and looked down. "Nahh" he said in this cute shy voice. "Ard when can I hear you?" I said sitting my glass down. "Whenever I make you mines" he said looking me deep in my eyes. My heart started beating extremely fast and I started getting warm. I couldnt help but stare in his eyes too. Man he was fine. "Are you guys doing okay?" The waiter said interrupting us. "Yeah...yeah we good." August said not taking his eyes off me. I know this waiter was probably like, wtf is wrong with him. "Uh as a matter of fact can we have the check please?" He said finally moving his eyes. "Sure" the waiter said leaving to get it. I felt my phone vibrate but I didnt want to be rude so i waited until the date was over. "What time you gotta be home?" August said. "Whenever I want" I told him. He smiled and licked his lips. "Well ard then" he said. The waiter came back and august signed the check and put the cash in it. "Can I take you somewhere else?" He said. "Of course" I said. He left the tip and we got up to leave. I dont know where August was taking me but at this point, I didnt care. "So, wheres your ep?" I asked him curious if what he sounded like when he sings. He laughed a little. "You really wanna hear me sing dont you?" He said. "Yeesss I doooo" I said. He laughed and we pulled into this parking lot of a small building. "Whats this?" I asked. He turned off the car and got out to open my door for me. I was so lost on what this was but I just went along with it. He grabbed my hand and we walked into the building. "Wassup Mike. This my date/ future Deshae" he said to this man sitting at a desk. I laughed a little at his introduction then said hello to the man. "She gorgeous man" Mike said. "Thanks" August said. "Who in there today?" August asked him. "Just Chris" he said. August smiled at me. "Ard ill be back" he told Mike. Mike nodded and we walked to this room. When we walked in I couldnt believe my eyes. Chris Brown was just sitting there like it was all normal. I grabbed August's hand tighter and he felt it then smiled at me. I looked around the room and seen it was a studio. "Ayee wassup" Chris said dapping up August. " Wassup lor mama" Chris said to me. I started blushing hard and getting that warm feeling I had at the restaurant. "Hiii" I said smiling hard and waving. "Aye man this my date Deshae" August said introducing me again. "She beautiful" chris said. This was a very important moment for us cause you dont hear Chris Brown say you're beautiful everyday. "Thank you" I said smiling. August led me to a chair and walked into the booth. "Ard which one we doing?" Chris asked him. "#1" August told him. When August started singing my eyes got wide and I was frozen. This boy could SANG. Chris looked back at me and smiled. "You heard him sing?" He asked me. "Nooo" I said with my eyes still wide. He laughed and August winked at me while he sung Hell on Earth. When he was done I clapped and cheered then went in the booth and played around with August trying to sing. "Ard yall I gotta go. Karreuche blowing me up" he said through the mic. "Ard yo see you" August said. I waved bye and watched him leave. All of a sudden, August turned me around and backed me up onto the wall. He stared into my eyes and I did the same. Then... we kissed.
I broke the kiss and we continued staring at each other. My phone broke the awkwardness. "Hello?" I said wiping my mouth. "Girl. Tavin working his magic on Bria" Tamia told me. I was confused on what she was saying. "What you mean?" I said. "He flirting with her on instagram and he told her he had a crush on her for awhile" Tamia told me. My heart dropped and I looked at August who looked worried. "Uhm can I call you later? " I asked her. "Yeah girl of course" she said. I hung up and sat down putting my hands over my face. "You ight? " August asked. I looked up and he was looking at me with his gorgeous brown eyes. "Yeah, im fine. Uhm... can you take me home?" I said feeling guilty. "Yeah sure. Is it something I did? " he asked. "Noo no its not you at all. I had fun, I just. .. I need to go" I said. He nodded and grabbed his keys so we could go. We pulled up to my house. "See you soon?" August asked. I smiled. "Yeah" I said opening the door then walking to my front door. I ran up to my room and went right on instagram. I seen the comments and I felt all my emotions leave my body. I felt dead. So we were talking and he was thinking about another bitch who was once my best friend. I threw my phone and layed back trying to hold back tears. I feel like he was never focused on me. Now i see why he didnt want a relationship with me. Smh.
Desmond pov
So I talked to Alexis and Rico and we all made up but she told me her and Rico kissed. I decided it was best for us to just take a break. Alexis didnt like the idea so much but never hook up with your boyfriend friends and she aint see no wrong in that. I texted Lauren and told her I needed to talk to her so she was on her way over. I made myself some pizza and layed back.
10 minutes later
The doorbell rang and I knew it was Lauren. I opened it and she looked like she was stressed. I led her to the kitchen and offered her something to drink. "No thanks" she said. "So what you need to talk to me about?" She asked. "Umm I just needed somebody to vent to fr. Alexis cheated on me..." I said letting out a huge sigh at the end. She just stared at me in disbelief. I couldnt even look at her. I lokede down at the counter then walked upstairs to my room leaving her there. I sat on the bed and tried to calm myself down but I never thought my girlfriend would do that. I heard Lauren coming up the steps and she walked in slowly and sat down next to me. It was silent for a little bit. "Im sorry Desmond. You know im here and ive always been even when you hurt me" she said. Lauren was sweet. I just didnt like how she was coming in between me and Alexis relationship. I grabbed her hand and held it until she looked up at me. "Im sorry for hurting you. I am." I said. She leaned in and kissed me and I let her. I grabbed her and made her stand up in front of me and I lifted off her shirt and kisses her body. "Desmond, you sure you wanna do this right now?" She asked me. I nodded and bit my lip then she leaned down again and kissed me. I wasn't doing this to get back at Alexis, but now, I think we even.
Next morning
I woke up and noticed Lauren was still laying next to me. I wiped my eyes and looked up at the ceiling. My phone vibrated and it was Rico.
Rico: Aye man, come chill wit me real quick
I read it and thought about it. I looked over at Lauren again then got up to shower.
