Deshae pov
So next month is my prom and its really close. After that its Tavin's prom. "Come on Deshae, we dont have all day!" My mom yelled to me. We were going shopping for prom dresses and we were meeting Tamia, her mom, Alexis and her mom there. This was gonna be fun. I talked to Tavin earlier and he was getting surgery on his arm so he was at the hospital with his mom. He said his arm kept popping or something like that but I hope he isnt in too much pain.
When we got to the mall we met up with Tamia, her mom, Alexis and her mom and of course we acted like we hadnt seen each other in years lol. I love my girls. Before we looked for dresses, we went to Auntie Annies and got some pretzels and lemonade. After that, we went in this dress store and when I walked in I fell in love. Im a junior so being able to choose from all these dresses was love. And I get to pick two. "I think I wanna do a short dress for my prom and a long one for Tavin's" I told my mom. Yeah. My mom finally met him. She told me I did a good job picking him lol. I love her. I spotted this blue dress ( top left) and almost died. I picked it up and held onto it to try it on. "Omg thats cuutee!" Tamia nearly screamed. "Look at this one" Alexis said smiling showing us a purple dress. It was cute but I didnt want to get the same things they picked up. I had about 5 dresses in my hand and my mom had about 3. Alexis and her mom both had 4 dresses and Tamia had 3. She already knew which one she wanted tho. It was pink with sparkles all around the top and it was a mermaid dress. It was beautiful. We tried all our dresses on. Of course I got the blue one lol. It was gorgeous. I tried on this other dress and I loved it so I got it for Tavin's prom (top right). Alexis got this dress that was cut out in the back and it was gold with silver sparkles on the corset. "We blowing these bitches out the water " Tamia said and we all laughed. We paid for the dresses and walked around to look for some shoes and jewelry. After that, we did a little side shopping.
We were hungry after those 3 hours of shopping so we went to the Cheescake factory and just had mommy and daughter time. I love spending time with my mom and my girls. We talk about everything. Tavin texted me not too long after.
Tav: Im out
Me: oh good how was it?
Tav: My arm hurts and im tired as hell. I gotta eat soup too.
Me: aww baby I hope you feel better. Get some rest
Tav: Only you can make me feel better
Me: lol aww how sweet. Im out right now but if I get home early enough ill come over if you want me to.
Tav: Nah bae, enjoy yourself. Ill see you
Me: You sure ? You know I will
Tav: its fine bae go ahead
Me: ard babe
I locked my phone and my food was coming.
10:15 pm
We just got in the house and im worn out. I went and took and shower, put on my Victorias Secret onesie and laid in the bed. I got on the phone with Tavin and told him about today then ended up falling asleep on him.
Tavin pov
My arm sore af. My mom been helping me put ice on it and all that. Deshae fell asleep on me so I just let her sleep and texted her "Goodnight "Ma I want you to meet Deshae before we go to prom together." I told her. "Thats not a problem" she said. I nodded my head and laid on my stomach as she continued to wrap the bag of ice around my arm. She left out after i took my pain pills and I sighed, laying down resting my arm. Not too long after, I was knocked out sleep.
Next morning
I got up to use the bathroom and forgot I just got surgery. I eased out the bed and felt sharp pains shooting through my arm. "Ahh damn !" I yelled. I guess my mom was sleep or gone cause she aint come in. I walked back to the bed and layed down softly. I got a text from Desmond and Deshae.
Desmond : Yo you good?
Me: Nigga my arm hurt like hell
Desmond : You'll be iight. You lightskin lmao
Me: shut up man
Desmond: its true tho
Then I read Deshae message
Shae: Goodmorning baby, sorry I fell asleep on you
Me: You good bae. You had a long day yesterday.
Shae: im coming to see you if your mom doesnt mind
Me: she aint even here. Come on
Shae: ard
I waited for Deshae and watched Fresh Prince of Bel air
