Deshae pov (pic of Tavin)
Its been a month and me and Tavin are still just friends. Nothing has really been happening besides him coming over at night and staying with me. I tried to ask him about us being in a relatonship but he always says its too soon and if we rush, bad things could happen. Idk whats going on but I thought thats what he wanted. I guess ill have to wait for him then. I got on ig and seen that he was doing "tbh posts". With me being curious, I started lurking and looking at the ones he did. Some of them said, "tbh you pretty but you a stranger" or "tbh you phoney" stuff like that. Then this one post he put on this girl page said "tbh you one of my prettiest followers. Hmu". That kind of pissed me off. He texted me not too long after asking what i was doing. I had a attitude and he could tell. He wanted to come over but I told him no my mom was home. She wasnt. She worked overtime. After i sent that i texted Tamia and told her to come over. Tavin is a senior which means he's graduating in a few months. Its January now so we dont have long until he leaves. I just want him to be mine. We both agreed to be each others prom dates so hopefully he keeps his word.
45 minutes later
*knock knock*
"Haayyyy!!" Tamia said hugging me. "Hey girl how's everything?" I asked her. "Girl I just came from Nick house..." I looked at her trying to remember who Nick was. "Omg your ex?! Wyd over there?" I asked. "Well we back together now. I kept it on the low because I wanted to be sure about us. Tadaa" She said looking guilty. "I cant believe you didnt tell me this sooner. But uhm... I kind of been hiding too." I said looking away. "Wassup girl? " I told her all about Tavin and what happened on ig and stuff. "You want me to ask him wassup? I mean you know I will." She said waving her hands around. " No no. I don't want him to feel pressured. I'll just wait for him." I said looking down.
Tavin pov
Deshae seemed like she was mad at me for something but ill talk to her tomorrow. I think shes upset about me not asking her to be my gf. I like her, alot, but I wanna give it some more time so it can be perfect. I don't want her to be mad at me. Im graduating soon and I want to keep a good friendship with her. I texted Desmond and some of my other boys to go to this basketball game at our school. I wouldve asked Deshae but ima let her cool off. I hopped in the shower and when I got out, I threw on a white tshirt, some jeans and my barons. I was ready to go. About a hour later Desmond pulled up bumping August Alsina- Grindin. The car was live. We drove to the game and some girls came up. "Hey Desmond, hey Tavin. " they said. "Wassup." Me and Desmond said at the same time. I brushed past them and see Lauren. "Well hello," she said. "Sup." I said walking past her too. "Ayooo !!" I heard Desmond yell. "We sittin over here !" I nodded and told him ill be back. I went to the concession stand and got me some gatorade then walked back to my crew.
We was winning 21-3. "Thats what im talking about !!" Some ghetto girl yelled out and started dancing. Out of nowhere, Lauren came and tried to squeeze in between me and Desmond. I just ignored her. One of my other homeboys Twan tapped me. "Yo aint that your girl?" He said pointing across from us. We all looked and seen Tamia and Deshae. Wtf she doing here? I got up and walked over there. I guess she seen me coming cause her smile disappeared. "What you doing here?" I said grabbing her and stealing her seat then putting her on my lap. "Hey Desmond ." Tamia said over the loud chatter. "Wassup Mia" I said "Why you not over there with your gf?" Deshae said. " Stop you know you mine." I told her kissing her cheek. She started blushing and looked down. "Aww yall cute !!" Tamia said smiling making us laugh.
