PROM DAY
Deshae pov- 9:15 am
I woke up to my alarm pounding in my ears then my mom opening the door and yelling my name. "Come on Shae so we can go get your hair done" she said. She closed the door when I got out the bed and I went to go shower and brush my teeth then wash my face. I went back in my room and put on some sweet pea perfume then took my dress out the closet admiring it again. And again. And again. When I smelled breakfast cooking, I slipped on some leggings, a big comfy sweatshirt and my uggs. I ran downstairs with my purse and sat down to eat. "You ready?" My mom asked smiling at me. "Of course. I been waiting for this day forever" I said laughing. She laughed and took a bite of her bacon. Not too long after, we were leaving to go to the hair salon. I already bought hair for my sew in so I was good to go.
When we got there, it was packed. But I had a appointment so the lady started on me first . "How many people you got today?" I said sitting in her chair. "Girl 5. " she said laughing. She started braiding my hair up and sewing in the hair. While I was getting the hair sew in, Tamia sent me a video of her dancing to Flawless the remix. At the end she said "Its prom time bitchessss!" Lmao. I swear this girl is crazy. I sent "Yaaaas honey weeerrkk " . I got another text from Tavin saying goodmorning and was I ready for tonight. I sent "goodmorning & yeessss. I cant wait to see you". My stylist had done half my head then let me take a break. I got up and walked over to 7 eleven to get some chips and something to drink. I was looking through my purse for my wallet and wasnt paying attention when I bumped into somebody. "Im so ... sorry" I said noticing who it was. "August?" I said. "Hey, how are you?" He said. "Im fine, just getting ready for prom." I said smiling. "Oooh I never got your name btw." He said. "Deshae" I said shaking his hand. "Do you mind texting me?" He asked. I thought about it. August was cute but idk how Tavin's gonna feel. "Yeah sure" I said. I handed him my phone and he put his number in then he did the same to me. I payed for my stuff then went back to the salon after saying bye to him. When I got back my stylist was sitting in her chair eating some cheetos. I swear this woman always eating and talking when she got something to do. When she seen me she got up and told me to come sit in her chair. I checked my phone and it was 3:12. My mom texted me and asked if I was almost done and I told her yea. At 3:30 I was all done and my mom was sitting up front waiting for me. I looked in the mirror and I looked flawless. Now I jusg needed to go home and use my MAC palette I bought. While my mom was paying for my hair, I took a couple selfies. One for instagram with the caption "yall aint ready " and the other to send to my girls. I had got 105 likes in 3 minutes & a whole bunch of comments saying how pretty I looked. I scrolled down and liked a few pics people put up that were going to prom also. My babies were flawless and nobody compared. We left the salon, & went to Mcdonalds to get something small to eat. I waited until 6 to get ready and it was only 4:38. I sat around the house after I ate my food and waited for Tamia and Alexis so I could do their makeup. They came at around 5:00 carrying their dresses & they looked beautiful. Tamia had this big curly wig on and Alexis had her hair pinned up with some curls hanging to the side. I started Tamia's makeup first then did Alexis. I let them do my make up and we looked good. We took a picture together with the caption "Goddesses" for instagram. That one got 390 likes. At 5:45 we all started putting on our dresses while our moms helped us. By the time we were done, it was 6:25 & prom started at 8. We waited for the boys to come so we sat in the family room and just talked about tonight. Desmond had texted Alexis saying they were ready and on their way. Since Tavin was a senior and we were juniors, his mom got us all a limo. At 6:45 they were knocking on the door and our moms told us to stay in the family room to surprise them. When my mom called for us to come out, we walked out hand in hand, one behind the other & the boys looked like they were going in slow motion. Their mouths dropped and so did ours. They looked so good. It was so crowded with everyones family there. And i mean everyones family. We felt so special with the cameras flashing and everyone clapping. Me and my girls all went up to our dates and stood with them to take pictures. Tonight was gonna be good. The limo came at about 7:13 & we all walked out holding our dates' hand. The limo driver stepped out and opened the door for us. When we got in our family waved to us and we were on our way.
