The day before prom
Deshae pov
So prom is tomorrow and im totally ready, I just need my hair done now. Alexis told me what happened with her and Rico and honestly, Rico is hot. Im not saying she should leave Desmond or anything but Rico is fine. I just wanna know what Desmond will think when he finds out because I know he will sooner or later. Alexis told me Rico asked her to go to the carnival with him but I told her to wait because they just became friends and it would be kind of awkward since thats her boyfriend's friend. I sat back and got a text from August. "Hey can we hang out tomorrow? " he said. "I have prom tomorrow but we can hang out Sunday for sure." I told him. He agreed. Im starting to really like August tho. He texts me regularly & makes sure im okay. I just don't wanna get too comfortable right now. Me and Tavin made up so i just need to detach myself from him after prom. It felt good talking to him again tho.
Tamia pov
"What would we name it?" I asked Nick as we layed in his bed. We were talking about if we made it far enough to have a baby. "What about Naomi for a girl & Nicholas for a boy" he said. " why they gotta start with a "n" tho"I said giggling. He shrugged and laughed. I played with his hair as he rubbed my thigh. "Im hungry" I told him. "Yea me too, what you want? " he asked me. "Hmm tacooss!!"I said dancing. He laughed and we got up to make some.
*ring ring* "Hello?" It was Alexis. "You got who number?!".... "Omg how?!" I had forgot Nick could hear me so I told her I would call her when I got home. "Who was that?" He asked. "Nunya"I told him. He sucked his teeth and snatched my phone. "Baaabe stooopp" I said trying to get it back. He saw that it was Alexis. "Why you aint say it was her, & who number she got?" I didnt know what to say because Nick & Desmond are like brothers. "Babe can we concentrate on food please" I said brushing past him. I felt him looking at me when I said that. He sighed and sat down with his hand on his face. "Why you being a baby. Come help me" I said stirring the ground beef. He got up slowly & took the spoon from me without saying a word. I watched him but he didnt even look at me. I know he wants to tell Desmond because he did this before smh.
Nick pov
I know Tamia tryna keep secrets now. Ima find out what it is tho cause Alexis aint about to have my nigga lookin dumb. He got my back and I got his. I was pouring in the sauce and Tamia came & wrapped her arms around me. "You mad at me?" She said with her face in my back. I giggled. "Moove bae" I said. "So you not mad?" She said looking up at me from the side and smiling. I smiled and she saw me. "I seen youuu. You not mad at meeee!"she said letting go of me and dancing. I wasnt mad in the first place. I just like letting her think so that way I can find out more. But obviously... not this time. "Come on babe stop playing and put the shells in the oven" i said. She kept dancing for about 30 more seconds then grabbed the shells.
The food was done and we just sat in the kitchen talking and eating. "So you gon tell me who Alexis was texting or nah?" I said taking a bite of my taco. "Babbee you still on that? It was Rico. Its nothing going on" she said. I tried to ignore the fact she said Rico cause I know his ass. He talk to every girl no matter what & he would definetly take Alexis from Desmond. I was silent for a moment. "See thats why I didnt wanna tell you" she said sucking her teeth. She got up to throw her plate away. "Babe im not gonna say anything. Its not my place" I said. She looked me but I was looking down at my plate. "Thanks babe" she said walking over and kissing me then walking in the living room. I was still sitting there thinking about it. Just then, I got a text from Desmond. "You tryna go shoot some hoops?" He said. "Yeah gimme like 45 minutes" I replied. "Ard cool"
I got up to throw my plate away and I asked Tamia if she wanted to come. She said yes then I went to get in the shower. I was still thinking about Alexis talking to Rico. The fact that we cool makes it worse cause I aint gonna act the same around him. I gotta tell Desmond.
When I got out Tamia was sitting on the edge of the bed on her phone. "Close your eyes" I said joking with her. "Boy please. I seen your jungle gym plenty of times." I almost pissed myself when she said that. Where she get this from? I put on my hooping clothes and we left. "You wearing that or you wanna change?" I asked Tamia before pulling off. "I only been to school bae. I'm wearing this" she said. "Ard sassy" I said. She laughed and we pulled off.
Desmond pov
"Babe im about to go play basketball with Nick, you coming?" I said to Alexis through the phone. "Uhh not this time bae. I got something to do today" she said. I didnt care if she didnt wanna go so I just said okay and hung up. I rode down to the court we were playing on and I seen Chaz. "Wassup son" I said. "Booyyy if you dont getcho !!!" He said making us all laugh. We dapped him up and we started playing. I seem Tamia sitting by herself watching us play. "Aye where Tory? " I asked Chaz. "She went out with her mom" he said. I nodded and we continued playing.
After the game, it was about 4 other games around us so we sat and ate snacks and watched one of the other ones. I tried to call Alexis but she wasnt answering. "I gotta go yall. Ill see yall later" I said dapping up Chaz and Nick then giving Tamia a hug. I dont know whats going on with Alexis but ima find out. "You need a ride?" Nick asked. I thought about it for a minute then accepted it. The bus aint gonna help me right now. He drove me home and I took a shower and rested for a little bit. Alexis called me about a hour later and I told her I was coming over.
I walked to her house shortly after and knocked on the door. She opened it slowly and was smiling. "Hi baby" she said. "Wassup" I said kissing her on her cheek. I walked in and seen Rico sitting on the couch.
