Deshae pov
August has been acting really distant these past couple days. He hasn't really been paying attention to me because he's been all in his phone. I understand I'm pregnant and can't have as much fun as I want to but damn can I get some attention from my boyfriend? He even snuck out the house a couple times late at night. I haven't said anything but I wanna see what i can find before I assume anything.
"August can you help me with this please?" I asked trying to button my sleeve. I guess he didn't hear me because he was smiling at his phone. "August !! Can you help me please !!" I yelled getting upset.
"What you yelling for ?!" He snapped.
"August I'm sorry. I just haven't been getting my boyfriend's attention lately and I'm tired." I said on the verge of tears. I'm stressed and I've been bleeding like crazy but I haven't been able to tell him that. He grabbed my shirt and buttoned it then plopped back down on the couch and continued texting. We been here for 4 days now & we have a week to go. I went upstairs to organize my clothes back in my suitcase but not long after, I heard the door close and seen that August had left. I sat down on the bed and took a few deep breathes then called my mom to talk to her.
"Hey mom" I said after she picked up.
"Hey honey, everything okay?" She asked worried.
"Mom, I'm just ready to come home. I'm stressed and tired and I don't feel right anymore. August has been ignoring me and sneaking out. I just.... I don't know what to do anymore." I said holding in tears.
"I'm sorry baby. What you gotta understand tho is yall are young and August isn't going to know how to act now that his girlfriend can't do what he wants her to do. He loves you but he just needs time to realize that you are pregnant & need to stay healthy. Are you good health wise? I wanna know about stuff like that. Give him time to process all that." She said. I nodded as if she could see me.
"I'm not good health wise. I'm bleeding even more and I don't know if I should wait any longer to see my doctor." I said.
"When you come back home I want you to go see this doctor no matter what." She said. I agreed and we got off the phone shortly after. It was going on 6:00 & August wasn't back yet. I decided to take a walk by myself on the beach just to get some fresh air & to see if I could find him but I couldn't. I went back inside the hotel after about a hour and a half then I took a bath & made myself some dinner.
Rico pov
" I thought you was cute for the longest." I said to Alexis while I helped her make fried chicken.
"Why you ain't say nothing before me and Desmond started dating? You could've had me first." She said giggling a little.
"I ain't think you wanted a playa like me" i said smiling a little.
"Whatever. Let's go." She said closing the oven and washing her hands. I always admired every feature on Alexis. Every curve, mark, her voice was just what I needed. She was so carefree and funny. We sat on the couch and watched Love and Hip Hop, she made me, & waited for the food to be done. I kept doin small stuff like blowing on her and trying not to let her catch me staring at her which made her laugh. She eventually caught me tried to hide her face and we ended up play fighting.
"Ouccchh you on my hair! Move!" She said laughing while I had both of her wrists. I let her go and she hit me and ran into the kitchen.
"We ain't done" I yelled to her then turned the channel and hid the remote.
"Where my plate at ?" I said as she walked in.
"In the kitchen" she said giggling. I got up and fixed my food then sat back in my spot.
"Wait what the hell is this? Where the remote?" She asked.
"In the kitchen" I said trying to be funny.
"Why is it in the kitchen?" She said getting ready to get up but I grabbed her hand.
"What?" She said looking at me. I pulled the remote from under me and handed it to her.
"Haha you so funny" she said smiling and sitting back down. After we ate, I cleaned everything up for her and we watched Anabelle. She was scared so I pulled her closer to me until she fell to sleep.
When I started getting sleepy I carried her upstairs to her room so she could be comfortable. I didn't wanna go home but I didn't think it was right to stay with he just yet. As I was laying her down she held onto me for awhile then let go. She grabbed my face and gave me a quick kiss then smiled.
"Thank you Rico." She said.
"You know I gotchu. I'll see you tomorrow tho ard?" I said. She nodded and I kissed her again before leaving. I think this time, everything is gonna be right.
