Alexis pov
I woke up to get ready for school at about 5:45 so that I could eat breakfast. I went in the bathroom and took and shower then curled my hair. I went back in m room and put on this red dress that was right past my knee. It was supposed to be warm today so I wore that with some cute wedges. I woke my mom up for work then went downstairs to cook. When I got done, it was 6:36 & I only had 14 minutes to get to the bus stop. My mom was still here putting on make up so i asked her if she could take me to school. I waited for her and we were out at about 7:05. When I got to school, I seen Bria standing there looking like a stripper grandma as usual and I seen Tamia talking to Nick and Desmond. I walked over and gave said hi then gave Desmond a kiss. "Where Shae & Tav? " I asked looking around. "Tav done, he was a senior remember? Their last day was Friday. " Nick said. "Damnnn I forgot. No wonder its so dead. I aint pay it no attention" I said shaking my head. Just then, Deshae walked in and waved at us. We had to be to class in 15 minutes so we all just walked around until it was time to go. "We the next seniors in this bitch" Desmond yelled making us all laugh. "Right im too hype" I said agreeing with him. "You ready for prom Saturday Shae? " Tamia asked Deshae. "Yeah im ready to get it over with" she said. "Yall need to make up cause yall gon be cute so you gotta act like it" I told her. She smiled and said "I guess." I shook my head and decided to help them but I wasnt gonna tell anyone my idea. The bell was about to ring so we all departed and went to class. My class consisted of mainly seniors so it was like 9 of us left in the class. It was a chill day tho. When lunch time rolled around, me and Deshae went to Wendys across the street and just sat there and ate. "So how would you feel if I talked to Tavin for you?" I asked her. "I dont even care to be honest. It won't ever anything other than a friendship. Hes always in denial when it comes to what we did have before all of this arguing" she said. "Well like I always say girl, hes gone and its time to move on from him. After prom, he free" I told her. She sighed and sipped her juice. "I know. I guess he just gave me something nobody else could" she said. "I know exactly how you feel. Its okay to feel that way. Everyone experiences it at least once in their life. Ive been through it too but you just gotta believe itll get better" I told her. "Your right" she said. "Aint I always?" I said laughing and she laughed too. We sat and talked for awhile until it was time to go back to school. Me and Deshae part ways to to go to class and while I was walking I seen Rico (Desmond friend that liked her, thats a pic of him. Hes in part 19 if you dont remember). "Wassup ma?" He said walking towards me. "Hey Rico" I said in a irritated tone. "Where you going?" He asked. "Class" I said not looking at him. "Ohard, can I get ya number tho? No funny business" he said holding his hands up. I rolled my eyes. "You know I have a boyfriend. Why you dont quit?" I asked him. "Come on. I just wanna be friends " he whined. I smiled and gave him my phone. "Dont try nothing" I said snatching it back. "Ard ma I gotchu. Ill text you later. " he said. I nodded and went to class.
I sat in my seat and pulled out my books. "Ooo look who cheesin. Who got you smiling like that?" Deshae said laughing. I told her I would talk to her about it later and she said okay. As the teacher was talking, I got a text and of course it was Rico. "Turn around" it said. I looked over at the door and he was standing there dancing. I laughed loud and everybody looked at me. "Something funny, Alexis?" The teacher asked. "Proceed" I told him trying to hide my laughter.
Tavin pov
Im at home chillin and I got on ig and scrolled down my timeline. I seen a pic of Bria and I decided to like it and tell her she looked beautiful. She replied "thanks" then I told her to text me. We dm'd each other our numbers and I waited for her to text me. Prom in 3 days and im happy forreal but I still gotta make up with Deshae so I texted her too.
Me: Can we talk later?
Shae: Sure
Me: Can you come over?
Shae: yes...
Me: okay see you later
Shae: you will
I locked my phone and laid my head back until my phone vibrated again.
Bria: Hey boo :)
Me: wassup ; )
Bria: wyd?
Me: chillin at home.
Bria: oh yeaa I forgot you done school
Me: yeah ima miss you tho lol
Bria: lol aww ill miss you too
Me: liess
Bria: I do. I just shed a tear
We talked for awhile until I got a call from a unknown number. It was UPS. "Hello? I said answering the phone. "Hi Tavin Smith?" They said. "Yes sir?" I said. "We're calling to tell you that you got the job" I was speechless. I didnt know what to do or say. "Omg thanks so much I really appreciate it. When do I start? " I asked. "Your welcome and Monday at 8:00 am. " they said. "Wow thanks. Ill be there earlier" I said. We hung up and I called my mom at work to give her the news.
It was a hour after Deshae got out of school and I just waited for her to text me if she was coming or not. 45 minutes passed and i ended up just calling her. "So wassup?" I said. "Can we talk about it right now?" She asked me. "Yeah , i dont see a problem with that. So where are we right now? " I asked her. "We friends. We have prom then your gone so its nothing more than that". My heart dropped at the thought of that and how she said it. " You right but dont make it seem like that. We can still talk." I told her. " I just dont wanna be attached anymore Tavin." She said as if she was stressed. "I know Shae but I just want you to be happy and stress free." I said. "Idk Tav" she said. "We good now and all im looking forward to is prom right now" she said. I agreed and she said she had to go do something and she would call me later.
