Chapter 25

So, it all went good. I graduated college and started working at our own company. This is my starting line. Buti na lang at hindi na talaga siya nagpakita sa akin.

"Ma'am, kain po muna tayo. Mamaya na po yan." aya sa akin ng workmate ko. Lunch na kase, kaso may kailangan akong tapusin na report.

"No, okay lang. Maaga pa naman." nginitian ko lang siya.

We've been living our own lives now. Dice is still studying for her to reach her dreams. To be a lawyer. She's so busy studying that I can't talk to her that much.

Sim is already an Accountant. He already has his own book-keeping. Dice should also be an accountant if she had taken the exam.

Someone's calling.

"Daaalee! Shocks, ngayon lang ako may vacation. Alam kong dapat nag aaral nalang ako. Pero please one night lang. Overnight ka naman ditooo." halos maiyak-iyak siya habang inaaya ako.

"Nubayan, sige! Tapusin ko lang tong report. Punta ako diyan." natatawa pa ako.

"Arigatoooo!" sabay pagend niya ng call.

It's been months since I last saw her.

Pagdating ko sa kanya ay nadatnan ko siyang nanonood ng kdrama. Lagi naman...

"Ano yan?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"Twenty five, twenty one. Top siya netflix e." sabi niya. Since, ngayon lang siya may vacation. Alam kong kakasimula niya lang.

"Gusto mo ispoil ko sayo?"pang-aasar ko. Kase napanood ko na siya last week. Paano naman kase nakakasakit sa puso.

"Huwag kang maingay. Sabayan mo nalang ako manood. Inabutan niya ako ng chips.

Baket kase kapag tapos ka na sa school ay masyadong naapektuhan yung time para makabonding ang mga kaibigan o pamilya mo.

I couldn't even share the same table with my family while eating. Masyado na akong late nakakauwi.

"So, how is it? Being a employee?" she asked.

"Okay lang naman, hassle lang minsan. Ikaw? Kulang paba yung stress?" tanong ko den sa kanya.

"Kulang pa, te! Kung hindi ko siguro pangarap maging abogado, ititigil ko na 'to." sabi niya. I know mahirap naman kase maging abogado.

"Nakita ko siya ulet, te." bigla niyang share saken. Ceo? I raised my eyebrows kaya..

"In front of the school, parang may kausap ata siya. Mas matured ang looks niya ngayon." she tried to smile. Buti nalang di ko nakikita yung mga yon.

I'm not sure if Ceo still stalking her. Never ko na siyang nakausap, since the debut of their cousin.

"We're all living our own lives now. Hayaan mo na yon." sabi ko. Ngumiti lang naman siya. There's nothing we can do. Hanggang ngayon ay hindi ko alam kung bakit mapapahamak si Dice kung sila ni Ceo.

Ang gulo naman talaga nila magpipinsan.

She never had any relationships after him, me neither...

"Malapit na board mo." sabi ko. She sighed.

"I want to be the topnotcher. Pero tinatamad pako mag-aral." rant niya sa akin. She's smart, but we all know na mahirap ang BAR exams.

Nothing happened that day. We just let our thoughts out. Dice is really busy preparing for the exam.

And me being busy with the company.

"Ms. Rosales, pinapatawag po kayo ni ma'am." someone told me.

Mama is looking for me.

"Why? Ma'am?" I asked. I call her ma'am here, but at home I call her mama.

"I'm confused about your report." she said. My report? I'm sure I did it well. Nagmamadali ako pero alam kong tama yung ginawa ko.

"You've inserted the wrong image, I guess." her eyes were like teasing me. So, I tried remembering what I did...

Image?

Did I inserted something?

"I hope you will not be distracted with your personal life here in the office." as she showed me the report I have made.

It was Race's picture!

"It's an accident, ma'am. I'm sorry I was out of my mind." I bowed to her. How the hell did that got there?

I immediately went out of the room and deleted all his pictures in my files. Literally, every picture we had is now gone.

I should have deleted it a long time ago.

And surprise...

His mother is here. It's been so long since I saw her. She immediately caught my eye. She just smirked at me.

"So, you're not the girl I once knew." trying to tease me.

Masyado akong bata noon.

"What do you need, ma'am?" I'm trying to be professional. But, she acted like she didn't heard it. Umalis lang siya sa harapan ko.

Thankfully, it wasn't him who went here. I can handle the attitude of his mother. But, I don't think I can handle seeing him again.

My thoughts are all him.

Every day, I remember our first encounter here.

I sighed and continued walking towards our room. Mom assigned me to the marketing team. Kaya kailangan alam ko ang lahat ng trends at kung ano ang gusto ng mga tao ngayon.

"Ms. Dale, yung report ko kase..." Rox said.

"What? Anyare?" I asked.

"Hindi ko nasave, pwedeng ikaw muna maunang magpresent?" he said.

Wala naman akong choice kaya kinuha ko agad ang laptop ko at dali-daling naglakad papuntang conference room.

"Good day, everyone. There is a technical problem with the supposed to be here. So, I'll be the one to present my ideas first." I said while catching my breath.

I inserted the HDMI at my laptop and searching for the powerpoint presentation.

"So, for today's presentation. I created some ideas that people are crazy about this days..." I'm still catching my breath.

I have an asthma kaya ambilis ko hingalin.

"People are crazy about k-pop this days. Since, it's the trend. What about we invite some idols to be our guest..." still not finish catching my breath.

I heard the door open.

"Are you alright?" he asked.

Race.

"I'm sorry, I got into traffic." he excused himself.

Been so long.
