Chapter 20

It's awarding day, next school year ay third-year college na ako. Isn't it too fast? The whole year was fun. Being with Dice, Sim and my love Race.

"Hindi ko akalain na papasa ako ngayong sem!" sigaw ni Dice at yinakap ako.

She's actually smart. Gusto nga niyang maging lawyer! Kaya lang naman kami nagkasama dito sa Business Ad ay dahil gusto din niyang magka idea sa business.

"Tapos di ko man lang nalaman agad na may something senyo ni Ceo." pambabara ko sa kanya at agad naman siyang tumigil.

"Stop it, my cousin will be mad at you." I heard Race's whisper. I smiled immediately.

He greeted my parents and sat beside us. He' not with his parents, since he already graduated.

"Akala ko hindi matalino si Sim, iyon pala pinagdadamot lang ang kanyang sagot sa atin!" reklamo ni Dice. Did you know that Sim is on 1st rank!

"Kasalanan ko bang hindi kayo nag-aaral ng mabuti?" may pa pout style pa siya.

"Excuse m–" agad kong tinabunan ang bibig niya para matahimik. The ceremony is almost starting and we're still so noisy.

The whole year was so nice. I just can't explain it that much. Everyday is always a happy day. Being with them always makes me happy.

He admitted that he likes me. He's a perfect man, but he's just a cousin for me.

"Abby."

I was startled, since then he doesn't call me by my name.

"Yeah?" I looked at him. Hindi ko maipaliwanag ang mukha niya.

"Alam mo ba yung kung sino yung nasa wallpaper ko?" he asked. The girl looks pretty. But, it was only a figure.

"No, I have no idea." I answered honestly. "Do you like her that much?" I asked him.

"Yeah, but she doesn't know." then he sighed.

"Kailan mo ba balak na sabihin sa kanya?" just me being curious.

"Now." he answered.

"I like her, because she can't be mine."

"I like her, because she's the only one who's close to me."

"I like her, because she's so dense that she doesn't even know that I like her."

"I like you."

He smiled at me.

I'm out of words.

"M-Me?" I stuttered. Sa sobrang dami ng tao, bakit ako?

"Kaso Wave, alam mong mag pinsa–"

"I know." he's still smiling.

"I'm happy for you." He hugged me before leaving my room.

That explained why he was so protective to me. Minsan ayaw niya na kasama ko si Race. Pero wala eh, pinsan lamg talaga tingin ko sa kanya.

After this program, may dinner sina Race ng family niya at balak niya akong ipakilala. Pumayag naman sila mama at papa. Sa six months namin ni Race hindi ko pa namimeet yung buong pamilya niya, mama at papa palang.

"Our 1st Honor, Sim Moreno!" the principal said. We were all cheering. He was always late, so we didn't expect he'll be 1st.

"Nice one!" sigaw ni Dice. Atleast, ngayon hindi na siya broken. Grabe din naman kase yung nangyare sa kanya.

"Looking for ka nice one, baby!" sigaw ni Sim. All of are laughing. We were in a crowd, tapos ganon sasabihin niya!

We were all in Dean's Lister. The four of us planned to celebrate at Puerto Gallera after this week. Since, this week ay with family pa.

At last, the program was finished and I was looking for mama and papa para magpaalam na pupunta na kami ni Race sa family dinner.

They have the biggest house at El Vinda. It was so simple, yet elegant. May mga guard sa main door nila na nakabantay. They were all greeting Race.

"Goodafternoon, sir!" all of them said with an emotionless face. Ang weird naman ng guard nila.

"Hi, mom, dad." he greeted. There eyes were all on me. Wala pa nga akong sinasabi! Masyado ba akong maganda?

"Hello po, tita, tito!" bati ko sa kanila. They just smiled at me and asked me to take my seat.

I saw his little sister sitting beside his mother. Her eyes was like Race's eyes, you'll be able to identify that there really chinese. Her porcelain skin that has no scar. Her thin lips that makes her more attractive. Her name is Samara.

"So, what's your plan in the future, Abby?" his dad asked. Hindi ko ineexpect na ganito pala ka intense ang Q and A.

"Gusto po sana ni mama na itake-over ko iyong company, pero gusto ko po magbuild ng sariling empire." I awkwardly smiled. Race held my hand, he knew I was nervous.

"Why don't you start working on you mother's company? Race is already working on ours." his mother said. Nararamdaman ko naman na hindi nila nagustuhan ang plano ko sa buhay.

"Mom." Race said.

"Hindi po kasi nila gusto na maubos ang time ko sa studies." hindi ko tinanggal ang ngiti sa mga labi ko.

"Kuya has always time for you and for our company. He even studied again for you." his sister said. Hindi ako makapagsalita.

Alam ko naman na sobrang hectic na ng schedule ni Race. Hindi ko lang inexpect na sasabihin sa akin iyon ng kapatid niya! Wala akong masabi!

"I'm a guy, lil sis." he said tapping his sister's head. Nagkibit balikat lang iyong kapatid niya.

"You should try working on your company on your free time." his mother suggested. I just nodded and smiled.

After the dinner ay hinatid na ako ni Race sa bahay. We didn't talk in the car. Nahihiya ako, kase parang ayaw sa akin ng magulang niya.

"I'm sorry." sabay yakap niya sa akin. Hindi lang ako umiimik at hinayaan lang siyang yakapin ako.

"Huwag mo ng isipin ang mga sinabi nila mommy. Matulog kana at may lakad kayo ng pamilya mo bukas." sabi niya at pumasok na sa loob ng kotse.

Pumasok na rin ako sa bahay at dumeretso sa kwarto. Kagaya ng sabi niya, hindi ko na inisip ang nangyari kanina at itinulog ko nalang.
