That night, I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling and pondering my day, when I got a text from an unknown number.
unknown
unknown: are you busy tn?
I frowned, typing a response quickly.
me: who's this?
unknown: did you not save the numbers on Elian's list?
me: what list?
unknown: wow.
I knew who this was, but I wanted him to say it himself.
me: so, um, name?
unknown: you know who
me: and if I don't?
unknown: then you're not as smart as I thought you were...
unknown: hawaii.

me: I'm already in bed. I don't want to rehearse :(
unknown: in bed, huh?
me: shut it
unknown: you better be out of bed, because the GPS says I'm arriving in two minutes ;)
unknown: or stay in bed, so we could practice some of those scenes

Cursing myself, I ran to the front door, taking a breath before opening it.
"Rowen," I greeted with clenched teeth.
Then I slammed the door in his face.
It took him a second until he began pounding on it again. "Hawaii!" I heard him call.
"Sorry, there's no one named Hawaii that resides here. You have the wrong house," I shouted back.
He was quiet. Then, "Okay, Alaska."
I didn't respond, crossing my arms.
"Alaska, let me in. Please?"
I swallowed. Would it be so terrible if I never let him in?
