Draco's POV

Annoyed by the chirping of the birds, I blink four or five times when I wake up, additionally blinded by the sun shining through the huge windows. But all that is forgotten when I move for a moment and see Lexi sleeping peacefully on my stomach. Her left leg is sticking out over the edge of the bed and the other is bent, the blanket just barely covers her bottom - everything else is free to gaze at. In this morning light it is almost aesthetic how she lies here, on top of me, sleeping peacefully.

No, it is aesthetic. As is everything about her. Everything about her is pure aesthetics.

I tenderly stroke her head and cheek to gently wake me up. She moves her head up and down with the smallest of movements, and wipes her eyes, which, when opened, look right into mine - her wonderful eyes the colour of a hydrangea from our garden. A small yet enchanting smile comes over her lips, which then place a kiss on my belly.

"Good morning, my sun." I smile at her as I place an arm behind my head to look at her a little more.

"Good morning, my moon." she replies giggling and for some inexplicable reason I like what she calls me.

"Did you sleep well?" I ask, caring.

"How could I not? I slept beautifully." she replies as she buries her head on my stomach one more time when there is a knock on the door and my mother's voice rings out.

"Dray darling, are you awake?"

"Yes mother, give me a moment I'll be right with you." I call towards the door before getting up and walking around the room still naked to quickly find something to put on. A green shirt lying over a chair and a pair of short black sweatpants will do for now.

"Hold it right there, I'll be right back," I say with a grin as I give her a kiss on the forehead and immediately run to the door.

"Don't worry about that, after that look I won't move an inch." I hear her say seductively and see her stretching around under the thin blanket. A sight for the gods and all for me alone.

Hesitantly, I open the door and let it fall into the lock behind me, about to run downstairs, but stop immediately when I see my mother standing at the end of the hallway by the window with a letter in her hand. The look on her face is one of concern and I wonder what is in it that has my mother so worried.

Also worried, I put my hand on her shoulder, whereupon she puts hers over mine and I look deep into her eyes and can see her fear of what is coming in her eyes.

"My son, an owl arrived this morning with a letter from the Riddle's - Mattheo's funeral is to be in 2 days. They knew you two were friends but Lexi's invitation was also included. Does anyone know she is here with us?" she asks cluelessly and at the same time I can see the fear in her face.

Expressionless I look at my mother - for a short moment I thought my breath would stop and my heart would stop, but that only lasted for a moment. In all the beautiful moments I have been able to spend here with Lexi so far, I forgot all the hurdles that still lie ahead of us.

"Is everything alright, Dray? Do you want to sit down?" my mother directs me to a nearby sofa, but I stop after two steps and snatch the letter from her hand.
