Previously on Hero's Charge...
*knock knock*
Marie: Who could that be?
James: Go and find out. I'll wait here.
Marie: Okay, I'll be back in a second.
Marie got out of her chair to answer the door.
Marie: I'm not expecting anyone to be here. Who could possibly be at our door at this time?
James was left alone, sitting by himself. A minute ago, he was told that his first Turf War tournament match was next week. There's no way he could miss it, but there's also no way he could leave Marie like this.
James: (Jeez, I got a lotta squit going on at the moment, and just when I thought I got my priorities sorted. I know I should participate, but those scrolls told us a whole new meaning, and now I know just how important this mission is.)
He was deep in his thoughts.
Meanwhile...
Marie was near the front door, still wondering who could possibly be at their front door at this time.
Marie: (I haven't ordered anything, did I?)
*click* *creak*
Marie: *gasp*
Marie gasped at the sight of who was in front of her.
Meanwhile, James was still deep in his thoughts, wondering what his plan of action was next. He was then interrupted by the shriek he heard from Marie.
Marie: GRAMPS!
Cuttlefish: Marie!
Marie quickly hugged her grandfather, Cap'n Cuttlefish. She was already in tears.
Kath: Don't forget about me, now!
Marie: AGENT THREE! YOU'RE BACK!
They hugged as well.
James heard all the noise from the HQ room and wondered what was going on.
James: (Is Marie okay?)
James quickly made his way to the front door, where he saw Cap'n Cuttlefish and Agent 3.
James: (Oh my.)
Cuttlefish: Agent 4! Bucko!
James: Cap'n! It's great to see you again!
Kath waited impatiently for James to acknowledge her. James noticed Kath in front of him.
James: Oh! You're back as well!
Kath: Yep. I'm here too.
James: What's with that thing around your neck?
He was referring to the cape that Kath so happened to be wearing. It was a slightly torn black cape that surprisingly fit her well.
Kath: It's a long story.
Marie: What happened? I thought you were gone forever!
Kath: As I said, it's a long story.
Cuttlefish: And there's someone we'd like you to meet.
James: (Huh?)
Cap'n Cuttlefish moved to the left to show the person behind him.
James: An octoling?
Indeed, it was a female octoling. She was a little shorter than Kath and had a face that looked very young, but apparently, she wasn't that young. She was wearing a crop-top and some jean-like shorts that only went a bit further down than her hips, so her clothes were only covering... you know.
