Sara

Jerry gave the okay for Kai to help with the dogs, and Sara arranged for Kai to come over during lunch and then they'd start working on baths.

The morning, however, didn't go as she had hoped. Sara was behind in doing training and was having to shorten each dogs session.

The busy work helped keep her mind off of the previous evening with Kai. She still didn't know what to make of his sudden hug and head kiss. She had caught Casey watching from around the corner after Kai had left. Casey had squealed and Sara had stammered out an excuse to go to her room away from her roommates questions.

By 11:30 Sara was finally on the last training session. She let the little chihuahua named Rizzo, run around for a few minutes before leashing him to work on her heel. Rizzo was one of the dogs she was going to have Kai help with after lunch, the other dog being Bruno. Rizzo loved all females but had a dislike of men and showed aggression towards them. Especially men in baseball caps.

Her and Rizzo walked around the play area three times before taking her back to her kennel. Rizzo had heeled pretty well, however she struggled with staying at the side of her walker and would slowly work her way to walking in front and becoming a trip hazard. She'd praised Rizzo each time she walked beside Sara. She gave her a treat before closing the kennel door and heading to the breakroom.

She found Kai already at a table waiting for her. He had brought her lunch, a homemade PB&J sandwich, carrots, a juice box, and a brownie.

"Aww," Sara gushed, "you made all this for me?"

"Sure did!" Kai smirked. "I figured you should experience the depths of my cooking skills at least once in your life."

"I'm sure you can cook more than this" She grinned at him as she took a bite of a carrot.

"You're right, I can" Kai leaned forward to whisper, "I'll have to show you sometime"

Sara took a bite of the sandwich, "Delicious"

"Do you have your question ready for me?" Kai asked

Sara met his gaze, "I do, but I thought I'd ask it after we're done with washing the dogs"

"May I ask mine? I can't wait that long."

Sara tilted her head to the side, "Okay, let me have it"

"Are you sure you can handle it?" Kai teased.

She threw a carrot at him.

"If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?"

Sara didn't hesitate with her answer, "This meal you brought me" and she made a show of taking a big bite.

Kai let out a big laugh. "No, really. I can't imagine you'd want to it that for the rest of your life!"

Sara giggled and rocked in her chair. "You'd be surprised! But... if you want a serious answer, then I could eat surf in turf with broccoli all day long. I love shrimp, steak, a loaded baked potato, and little green trees"

"I've never heard broccoli called little green trees before, but I guess they do look like trees"

"That's how my parents got us to eat it. We hated broccoli, but green trees were the bomb."

"That's funny. When I was growing up, there was this restaurant we went to frequently and they didn't serve root beer, that was our favorite drink. My parents told the waiters to give us Fanta instead and call it root beer. We drank it without fuss, thinking it was root beer. It wasn't until I was a teen that I realized it wasn't really root beer."
