I was sitting in Jingshi that evening with Wei Ying after having that long conversation with Shufu and Xiongzhang. Going back through all that happened, I wanted to ask Wei Ying some things. So I had to make it seem like a game or some sort so he would not get suspicious at the moment. If he figures it out later, then we can deal with that when the time comes.

"Wei Ying?" I asked as he was still reading through the rules.

"Hmm?" He hummed with his head being held up by his hand and his elbow on the table.

"How far are you?" I asked.

"About half way," He said still not looking at me.

"Want to take a break?" I asked, "I have an idea that I thought might be interesting. I thought about asking Shufu and Xiongzhang about it but I wonder if you think it would be interesting enough to even bring up to them."

He finally looked at me and slid the rule book to the side, "What idea? I am all ears?"

"I had a little game in mind," I said, "Well, I think it would be a game?"

"Oh, like what?" he asked.

"It's called What Would You Do? or What If?" I told him, "Shufu and Xiongzhang asks us during a lecture to take out some parchment and write down answers to What if scenarios. It would actually pertain personal want if scenarios but the students can leave the pages unnamed so it can be anonymous when he goes through them. It is something that disciples could think about if something of those scenarios happened, like what would that person do?"

"That is an interesting idea, do you have an example of a question?" He asked me.

"Well, if your home had a surprise ambushed and little time to evacuate, what would you do?" I asked.

"Well, hopefully, clans have things thought through if that were to happen but it is a question to think about," He said, "If it were me, I would risk my life to save my family and my home."

'I figured you would say that,' I thought to myself.

"If I bring it up to Shufu and Xiongzhang, do you think they would try that idea?"

"Well, afterwards if there is a time to sit down and talk about it afterwards. If those who want to remain anonymous they can, otherwise others can open up to their opinions and ask questions of, perhaps, your brother for example, He is a clan leader, what would he do in that scenario?"

"We would sit down and have a meeting right away to strengthen wards and set up emergency escape routes if there was a surprise ambush, although some casualties would be lost, there would still be a plan for those who can survive. It would be best if all could survive but in an ambush it's hard to predict the outcome," I said.

"If one needs opinions or ideas about making stronger wards, they can come to me, I am always creating new talismans and spells," Wei Ying said.

I nodded. After talking about that idea, I decided to bring it up with Shufu and Xiongzhang the next morning before lectures.

"Shufu, Xiongzhang," I greeting entering the lecture hall. No-one else was there but us so it was a perfect opportunity to run it by them, "I came up with an interesting idea for disciples to try if you want to hear about it."

"Please do," Shufu said as I sat across from him.

"I call it "What would you do or what if?," I told him, "Leaving them to be anonymous, having the disciples take out some parchment and you asking what if scenarios. It could get the disciples thinking about things they have never thought of before. And leaving the answers anonymous, they can be more at ease and not feel embarrassed of their answers."
