Fred's POV
⋅•☆────✧.·☽✦☾·.✧────☆•⋅
Usually when me and the boys would do our yearly first night at school ritual, we'd be left exhausted and sore from sleeping on the floor. But at the moment I felt neither, only bliss when I woke up to the sight of a sleeping Y/n.
She had her fingers laced in my hair with my head on her lap. Everything was exactly how I remember from last night.
The sun managed to peek through the window just right, that it made her seem like an angel. In the light, you could see the strands of her hair turn a golden brown when it would usually be a dark chocolate shade. Her scar seemed to slightly peak through from the sweater mum made for her last Christmas.
I could lay here for hours and not get sick of staring at her face. Soon enough Y/n started to wake from her sleep.
She took in a deep breath as she stretched from her sleep. Slowly processing her surroundings. Eventually her eyes landed on me and an adorable grin appeared on her lips.
"Morning, Freddie." She spoke softly.
"Morning, Love" I replied, my voice sounding a bit more hoarse than I expected.
As if on cue, the others began to wake up from their sleep. Since we were to have breakfast soon Y/n and Louis had to leave to get ready.
We waved them goodbye and now it was just us three. As we were getting ready I couldn't help but feel a stare coming from the other two.
As I suspected, they've been sending me teasing grins.
"What's with the looks?" I asked.
"You seem much more chipper this morning." Lee replied.
"It's probably because he woke up to his sweet Y/n." George teased.
"Oi, shove it you two!" I glared at the two.
"Oh Come on! We all know you're whipped for her." Lee chuckled.
I rolled my eyes at the two as they continued to laugh at my reaction.
We eventually finished getting ready and went downstairs to meet with the others for breakfast.
Like always, I sat next to Y/n with George and Lee sat across from us. This morning Louis joined us as he sat next to Y/n. The table seemed more crowded, not just because of the new 1st year students joining us but because of the additional students from different houses.
Around my 4th year, everyone took notice of the different houses that were joining our table. Eventually they all started reaching out to other houses. Making friends and forming new alliances.
All four tables had a mix of all of the houses. And the teachers didn't mind, they were actually quite satisfied with it. There was much more house unity this year and the school had a better ambience because of it.
"This Sunday, I'm thinking that we should gather as many students as we can down to the quidditch pitch around midnight." I suggested.
"What for?" Louis asked.
"For a bit of midnight quidditch. All houses are welcomed and we'll all just wear our pajamas. It'll all be just for fun." I replied.
"That's brilliant, but are we sure those dementors won't interfere?" Y/n asked.
"Dumbledore said they won't attack unless threatened." Lee answered.
"So we'll just have to not bother them, easy." George continued.
