When the train came to a stop you placed Stark in his cage and got the rest of your stuff before you got off the train with Harry and Ron. When you got out your things disappeared out of nowhere. You panicked and looked around for Stark but a gruff voice spoke up.

"Firs' years! Firs' years over here. Don' worry 'bout yer things, you'll find em in yer dorm room after yer sor'ed" A tall and gigantic man said to you and the other first years who were miniscule compared to the man. "Now follow me, watch yer step, make sure no' to slip." He said as he led you to a steep path that led to a pier by the edge of a black lake. The water looked pitch black in the night but that wasn't the most interesting thing in sight.

There stood a gigantic castle that stood on top of a mountain across the lake that made it look breathtaking. Your parents told you and Harry all about Hogwarts but to see it for the first time, their words could not compare to seeing it in person.

The tall man told you to get into the boats in groups of four. You, Ron, Harry and another first year got into one boat. As you rode your way across the lake every one of you were in awe of the magnificent castle. Once you rode across the lake, you got off the boat. Though Ron nearly slipped into the lake while getting out of the boat, luckily you and Harry kept him from falling in.

You walked through a ton of stairs reaching a large door. All of you stood there waiting for the door to open so you all started talking. The three of you were discussing which Quidditch team was the best until someone interrupted.

"So it's true what they were saying on the train. Y/n Carrington and Harry Potter have come to Hogwarts." A boy with platinum blonde hair said from behind Harry. The rest of the first years started whispering at the mention of your names.

"This is Crabbe and Goyle, and I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy." The boy said, walking up to you and Harry while holding out a hand for you to shake.

At the mention of his name Ron laughed. Draco's face went sour but before he could say anything you elbowed Ron in the ribs.

"Ron, don't laugh, it's rude." You scolded.

"Right, sorry for laughing." Ron spoke, in almost a whisper.

You smiled at Draco and shook his hand."Nice to meet you Draco."

Draco's face returned to a more pleasant look.

"My last name is actually Carrington now. But things aside, nice to meet you Draco." Harry said while shaking Draco's hand.

Before you could involve yourselves in a conversation the large doors swung open which revealed a tall black-haired witch. You recognized her from your parents old school photos. She's Minerva McGonagall. From your parents' description of the witch's personality, she was strict but she also had a soft spot for the Marauders who literally broke nearly all the rules at Hogwarts, so who knows how she really is?

She looked at Hagrid and gave him a nod "Thank you Hagrid, I will take them from here." She then led the rest of you through the large doors and towards another area.

"Welcome to Hogwarts, The start-of-term feast will begin shortly. But before you get seated, you must get sorted into your house. The sorting ceremony is very important because while you are here, your house will be like your family at Hogwarts. There are four houses, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn you house points while any rule breakings will lose you house points. At the end of the year the House with the most points will be rewarded the house cup." She said to everyone in the area.
